"Disaster - Run down, places not fixed, in the rain you get stuck quickly, the price is completely exaggerated, the reception is a small window, no roof in front of it, in bad weather you are already soaked after registration, sanitary facilities would rather not be used for hygienic reasons.on no account again !!!!

"Perfect for travelers with children - The location right in front of the dyke is perfect, as is the peace and quiet. There are so many activities for children that they hardly ever show up at the pitch.

"Disappointing - The place is in the years come.playground dilapidated.Sanianlagen very old containerart.no hot water for showering or rinsing.dogs must be leashed but their dog, ancient pony and ancient pot-bellied pig run around freely on the square and if you are not careful you step into the legacy.to the beach? On the other side of the road through a gate up the dike through sheep and then only steep wall stones water to look at.beach to Makkum 7km walk or bike.for the price not recommended.for shopping only in makkum Jumbo (but expensive) 15 km in harlingen or 15km in workum Aldi Spar Action Lidl

"Had a nice Whitsun vacation - We were there with 6 people and felt very comfortable and lovingly received so we are going there again for 2 weeks it is very nice from the environment and in the evening is not too late quiet on the square the kids had a lot of fun with the pony the rabbits and the pig au h the large play hall is something for big and small we have found a very clean environment sanitary facilities caravan with awning the sea is also not far away simply all in all on a scale of 1-10 we give 9 for young to old everything was represented nice people you also got to know so really recommended.

"Campsite that has its best days behind it - We stayed at the campsite for two weeks with a tent and two dogs. The location is not bad, right on the Ijsselmeer. However, it is not possible to walk more than 300m over the dyke due to the many sheep fences. Dogs are welcome on the site. Dogs must be kept on a lead, but this does not apply to the owners' dogs, although even after two weeks I was unable to find out the exact number. At the time of our stay, there were only a few guests on site, which was apparently taken as an opportunity to neglect the cleaning of the sanitary facilities. People with a phobia of spiders or insects should avoid the site. The cooking facilities (one (!) hotplate and a dirty microwave) were also at least questionable in terms of hygiene. It is advertised with a non-existent W-Lan (at least we never had reception on the pitch). On the homepage of the place is further advertised with animals. There is actually a pony and a pot-bellied pig whose condition could indicate possible neglect (deliberately kept vague, don't want to accuse anyone of a criminal offense here). In short: a rather carelessly run place that may have had some good times. We certainly won't be going there again.

Campground Sotterum is a nice campsite, in a scenic location next to the IJssellake between Makkum and the "Afsluitdijk". Perfect holidays for children and adults alike! There are mobile homes and a caravan to let. Very nice group accomodation available. …In the farm there are also rooms as Bed & Breakfast.
