"Camping in beautiful surroundings - Small campsite in a good location for cycling and mountain hiking. Always enjoyed coming here, also because of the good food in the restaurant. Unfortunately that was no longer the case. An overpriced restaurant with Spanish cuisine in the middle of the Tyrolean mountains. Fortunately, there are very good restaurants with Tyrolean cuisine nearby. The campsite itself is fine and you have everything you need.

"Generous space - We have been visiting this place regularly for years. Mostly just as a stopover for our onward or homeward journey. This time we stayed for a week and were well served. The reception is very friendly and helpful. The pitches are spacious and the camper van can be parked easily and without any problems. There is electricity and water nearby. The site has been made more accessible for tourists, as half of the site is occupied by permanent campers. I almost always had problems with the antenna connection and the disposal of waste water is also not optimally solved. The sanitary facilities are clean. Unfortunately there is no store on the site, but a Spar is not far away and opens early in the morning. The restaurant was open and specializes in mainly Spanish dishes. It does have a schnitzel on the menu but it has nothing to do with a schnitzel, as is usual in Austria, and costs 19.50. We will visit this place again, as there are many opportunities for sports etc. in the surrounding area.

"Ideal campsite - Ideal base camp for climbing on the Steinplatte or in the Loferern. Great Wiener Schnitzel and small swimming lake. Nice team, complete peace and quiet...

"Simple space - Small campsite. No entertainment facilities. There are 2 wash houses which are getting on in years. There are plenty of toilets, but some were locked and therefore not usable. It is an unattractive site for children. There is nowhere to play ball. Noisy, hard-drinking Dutch people, who probably live there all the time or stay longer. Partly unpaved paths. Bad in the rain.

"Great quiet place nice staff and guests with great views - Everyone here is very nice and approachable. The excursion possibilities are fantastic. A wonderful view from the campsite into the mountains in all directions. Great restaurant, good prices and delicious portions, nice bar.

"Not worth a visit - The place could be a dream if the structure were changed. Unfortunately, everything is now neglected. The beautifully landscaped bathing lake on the site is not cleaned and maintained. At our pitch, campers were constantly walking across our allocated pitch as they were then closer to the bathhouse. That's terrible. The grass should also be properly sown everywhere. The pitches are all broken.

The Steinplatte Campground lies in the heart of Tyrol at the foot of the Loferer Steinberge! The 150 sites offer electric and TV, while most also have a gas hook-up as well. We offer a very diverse program, ranging from …challenging sporting activities, to easier and more leisurely programs! Ideal base for hiking and mountain tours, mountain bike expeditions and wildwater canoe trips in the biggest canoeing area in all of Tyrol. In winter: direct access to the cross-country trail, cleared hiking path, sledding runs and all kinds of skiing for the perfect vacation! The camping café treats our guests to a selection of delicious traditional dishes. Camping Steinplatte - for a vacation that’s perfect! Sauna and tanning studio, herbal baths by appointment, dish-washing and drying rooms, central gas supply, cable TV, 2 washing machine and dryers. We also offer rental caravans and 5 apartments. Permanent ski-shuttle service running every 30 minutes - right from the campgrounds. Direct access to the cross-country trails. Horseback riding right by the campground; pit-pat, badminton;
