"May makes everything new - A lot happened here in the spring. The sanitary facilities have been renovated. Various fresh water taps have been installed on the pitch.

"Back to basic 😊 - The campsite is located just behind the dike to the Elbe where the sheep graze. The sanitary facilities are old-fashioned. I remember Danish campsites in the early 80s with the same installations. You have to buy tokens for almost everything (many different kinds) and you have to be able to fend for yourself during your stay. The campsite has a restaurant/cafeteria/bar where you can buy refreshments and something to eat. There is a supermarket not far from the campsite. Just 700 meters from the campsite there is a small holiday village with restaurants, ice cream shop and shopping opportunities. Here it is possible to get very close to the mouth of the Elbe / North Lake and experience the ebb and flow of the river. The access to the site is very narrow, but it worked - with a 9 meter trailer 😊 The infrastructure on the site is very good and with asphalt for the pitches. You are not informed about the campsite facilities on arrival - but that's not a problem... Take a walk around the campsite, talk to the friendly Germans/permanent residents or pop into the cafeteria and have a chat with the site owner - It makes it all a little easier 😉 Remember cash - EC not possible. A thoroughly good experience for us.

"A better scrap yard! ! ! - The owner is very unfriendly! You don't get any information where the sanitary facilities, garbage bins etc. are. The sanitary facilities are only cleaned sporadically and are reminiscent of a 60s psychiatric hospital. The cooking area was permanently locked. Scrap and bulky waste piled up everywhere on the pitch! There were even rats in the tent at night. We were charged 5 cents for about 30 seconds of hot water. There is no toilet paper, soap or paper towels!!!! EC payment is also not possible. All this is rounded off by the extreme mosquito plague in Friedrichskoog!

"Total Hardcore - No contact person. No instruction. No reference to hot water coins. Washroom like an operating theater from the last century. No electricity at the pitch. Only good location behind the dike and only a few hundred meters to FrieKo Spitze. Not recommendable at all. For the same money there was pure luxury elsewhere!

"Very satisfied! - Child and dog friendly campsite. Very nice groundsman. Always ready for a nice chat and always helpful. Also with the children. The pitches are very spacious. No narrow parcelling, but free choice of pitches on a large meadow area. The location is perfect (directly behind the dyke, 900m from the town center and beach). You only have to cross the road and you are right on the dyke. Simple (no menu) but tasty, plentiful and inexpensive food in the restaurant. The sanitary facilities are reasonably good (toilet and washbasin). Showers could be improved. Unfortunately, you always have to take your change with you (hot rinse water costs €0.05), or buy shower or wash tokens (at reception). Nevertheless, a very good price-performance ratio! A good campsite for simple people who don't need luxury and fancy frills! We would be happy to come back any time...

"Super nice! - I was in a rental car with my children for 14 days. The car was large, clean (apart from the spiders) and very well equipped! It was really quiet there. My children were hardly to be seen as they were in the playground or on the dyke. At times they also rode along with the groundsman on the tractor. The groundsman is a bit dry but very helpful. Ok, the sanitary facilities take some getting used to, but they are clean. I have seen the cleaning done with a high pressure cleaner several times. The sanitary facilities are old, but as I said clean. I can really recommend the place. The price-performance ratio is also really good. 35€ for a 6 person caravan. Electricity, gas, water and tourist tax included. You have to get tokens to shower, but that's quite ok, €0.80 a token. You can shower for about 5 minutes. I will go there again.

Der Campingplatz liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Weltnaturerbe Wattenmeer (50 Meter, direkt am Nordseedeich!!). Mee(h)r Natur geht nicht!! Durch die Erschließung der Küstenlandschaft und die Wertschätzung der Natur als eingetragenes schutzwürdiges Naturgebiet mit heutigem Status als Weltnaturerbe ist es für …uns als Campingplatz Swienskopp von unschätzbarem Wert hier den Menschen ein Ferien- und Urlaubsdomizil zu bieten. Wir freuen uns, dass unser Campingplatz Swienskopp ein Teil dieser reizvollen Landschaft ist. Anreise mit PKW Wer in Hamburg den Elbtunnel passiert hat, verfolgt ab dem Autobahn-Dreieck Hamburg-Nordwest die A23 in Richtung Heide, In diesem Bereich müssen Sie abbiegen, und zwar auf die B5 in Richtung Brunsbüttel. Gleich in Marne folgen Sie dann …dem Wegweiser nach Friedrichskoog. Sie verfolgen die Straße und erreichen nach zirka 10 Kilometern Friedrichskoog. Sie fahren bis zum Hafen, dort am Hafen vorbei verfolgen sie die Hafenstraße bis zur Koogstraße. Hier müssen Sie links auf die Koogstraße abbiegen. Ca. 4 km später sehen Sie auf der linken Seite den Campingplatz. Kurz vor Friedrichskoog Spitze (Strand) biegen Sie wieder links ab und fahren direkt auf das Camp zu. Anreise mit der Bahn Selbstverständlich ist auch eine Anreise per Bahn möglich. Der nächstgelegene Bahnhof ist in St. Michaelisdonn, ein Ort in ca. 25 km Entfernung. Sollten Sie sich für die Anfahrt mit der Bahn entscheiden, sprechen Sie uns bitte darauf an. Zum einen besteht die Möglichkeit, Gepäck vorauszuschicken. Zum anderen holen wir Sie - nach Absprache und falls es uns zeitlich möglich ist - vom Bahnhof ab. Alternativ gibt es eine Busverbindung oder Taxi-Unternehmen, die immer am Bahnhof bereit stehen. Per Bahn: Bis Bahnhof St. Michaelisdonn, anschließend mit dem Linienbus nach Marne und Friedrichskoog (Reiseauskunft der Bahn Tel.: 11 86 1, von Haus zu Haus Gepäckbeförderung Tel.: 0 900/1 31 12 11), Busfahrpläne und Infos erhalten Sie vom Tourismus- Service.
