"Nice location and expensive - The campsite is beautiful, has a very relaxing atmosphere and is also an ideal starting point for excursions to top destinations in Valais. The insider tip of Val d'Anniviers and Crans Montana are only a few minutes away by car and are also easily accessible by public transport from the campsite. The footpath along the Rhone, right next to the campsite, is also great. But it costs. Two people with a dog CHF 50 per night. Would be ok at a comfortable level. But the pitches should not offer enough space for a 7 meter caravan, awning and car. There are just two water points on the part of the site facing the Rhone, the sanitary facilities are completely outdated, in need of renovation and look dingy. The one on the part of the campsite facing the reception is cheaply built (container or something), but ok. The chemical toilet sink does not flush. Dogs are not allowed to swim in the bathing pond or on the sunbathing lawn, but are otherwise allowed on the pitch on a lead.

"We would definitely come back.... but - First of all, the price-performance ratio was impeccable. We were traveling in week 30 as a couple with dog and caravan. We would definitely come back....

"Camping/ Restaurant - The new owner of the Camping Restaurant Swissplage can't speak a word of German and neither can his staff. Which is very tedious. The food is unfortunately not good either. Was worlds better with the previous owner! We loved staying at the campsite/restaurant. This year unfortunately a total negative surprise as the owner has changed. Before the food was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed, the owner spoke good German and was a very likeable man. It's a real shame that this has changed, which means that the campsite is no longer a reason for us to come. One small consolation is that the previous owner now runs the Valesia restaurant in Turtman, so we can visit him there and enjoy his excellent food on a lovely terrace.

"Beautiful place - Minus point: absolutely no shopping facilities! Only a bread roll service is available in the restaurant. Too bad.... Price ratio is rather too expensive. Waste bags have to be paid for additionally!!!

"Was ok - Unfortunately there was hardly any hot water. Showering was difficult and washing dishes only lukewarm water.

In the heart of the Wallis, on the foot of the Alps, the Camping Swiss-Plage is situated at the entrance oft he very new national Park of Pfyn-Finges, with international importance. Very famous as the most sunniest place in Switzerland …(microclimate like in the Provence) you should not expect a luxury camp-site, but as site wit beautiful surroundings, with a lovely private lake, forets and situated directly besides the Rhone and nestled in between the Main Alpine divide and the Berne Alps.
