"Nice place outside in the "green"... - Very nice, green site that is far enough away from the waterfront. The site is quite "outside", there are no restaurants/shopping facilities nearby. The reception is friendly (also English-speaking), the pitches are large enough and all have a direct electricity and water connection, satellite reception is sometimes difficult. There is also a very nice swimming pool open in the summer. The sanitary buildings are clean, some of the showers are a little small (without a shelf). Next to the reception there is a small store and bread to order. There is also a cafe/restaurant with a fairly decent menu and quality. For around €25/day, the campsite offers large e-scooters with a range of 80 km for hire. Tarifa is more than 8 km away along the coastal road. The beautiful (and windy) beach is only a 10-minute walk away...TOP!

"Super winterizing - For an official 3 star site, very clean and well maintained. Washing machines, dryers, etc. available and not expensive. The beach can be reached via the national road or through a tunnel to the beach. There is a bakery 100m away with delicious homemade cakes, ideal for a coffee and cake in the afternoon! Tarifa with Africa ferry 10km, Algeciras / Gibraltar 30/50km, Cadiz 100km. Hopefully Covid will be defeated soon, then I'll be back!!!

"Kitesurfer's paradise near the beach - The campsite is located on a road about 400 m from the sea. The beautiful sound of the sea can be heard from the campsite. Unfortunately, the road can also be heard a little during the day. An underpass leads from the campsite to the large sandy beach with a view of Africa. Unfortunately, swimming was not possible due to the wind conditions. Instead, you could watch the numerous kite surfers. The campsite's sanitary facilities are rather average. Clean on the whole. The leisure facilities on site are limited to the beach and the sea. However, there is a pool and a tennis court on site. A visit to the towns of Tarifa (10 km) or Gibraltar (50 km) is possible from the campsite. Tickets for the crossing to Africa are available at reception. There is a shop on the campsite, but with a somewhat limited range of products. Bread rolls are available for breakfast. The restaurant is average. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Free WiFi is only available near reception. Washing machines are available. The pitches are quite large and separated by high hedges. On grass. With electricity and water. Ideal for relaxing for a few days. Or as a starting point for day trips for sightseeing or hiking. We would come again. When there is less wind!

"A pleasant, well-run campsite - For my part, I spent 2 months there and I really enjoyed it: welcome, cleanliness, everything is done to make your stay a pleasant one. What's more, it's a very pretty campsite, very well maintained.

"Valdevaqueros is a good place for 3 weeks. - Valdevaqueros Cat.2 / Tarifa is a good place for 3 weeks. Surfers and kiters will certainly have fun here for longer. The place has a lot of possibilities for excursions (Gibraltar, Tangier, Ciuta etc.). It is situated in a fantastic landscape, I have never seen so many eagles at once!!! A visit is also highly recommended for the historical significance of the region. From the Neanderthals to the Romans and Moors, everyone has left their traces to be admired. - We were there in November. At this time of year, it is not advisable to shower in the dark, as the light only works with motion detectors and the sanitary facilities are not heated. The site is quiet except for the occasional noise from the dogs of fellow campers. The store on site is good and has a good range of products. The baguettes are delicious! The staff are friendly and helpful, giving advice on excursions and tips. The sanitary facilities are clean and up to the standard of the site. Washing machines and dryers are available.

"Camping Valdevaqueros - Great campsite. Simple, but always clean. Very friendly welcome. With ADAC Campingcard 16€ for two people in September. Ideal with a pet. Great pizzeria nearby. For windsurfers, the walk to the beach is easy with a surf trolley.
