"Lots of mud, little power - We were on a comfort pitch with our own bathroom. However, when it rains (and we had a lot of it), the whole pitch turns into a muddy mess. The separate bathroom is very large. However, it has no heating and no windows. If you're on vacation there in October like we were, it can get pretty cold. Fortunately, we had a fan heater with us. However, we had a lot of stress with power cuts and for most of the week we only had about 190 volts from the socket. Which caused our fridge to constantly warn us. Very annoying. Especially as the groundsman said to our neighbor: "Why do you want to heat at night, you should sleep there." He could definitely do with some training in dealing with customers and his own prices. He didn't know the surcharge from 10 to 16 amps. It's not on the internet either. There was no toilet paper for the rented bathroom either. The reception just said: You can buy it here in the store. In addition to the completely overpriced bread rolls. The water in the free swimming pool could have been 2-3 degrees warmer. We will NOT be back.

"Great place - The ladies at reception are all very nice and friendly! The pitches are very spacious and there are small play areas all over the site, as well as a large playground. The campsite is really beautiful and well maintained. The sanitary facilities were generally clean. The bathroom is small but nice. Water could be a bit warmer. There are plenty of shops in the town, and a very nice pedestrian area for shopping We found the price-performance ratio too high.

"Camping in the mud - The pitch was very soggy due to the rain over the past few weeks. As soon as we arrived, we needed help to get the caravan onto the pitch. Unfortunately, the campsite couldn't provide us with any boards or pallets so that we didn't have to walk through the mud all the time. We had to get creative ourselves. Fortunately, Obelink is not far away. Otherwise the mud would have run into our shoes upstairs. Now for something positive: The indoor swimming pool on the site is great. The sanitary facilities were always clean and were cleaned regularly. The caravan was pulled off the pitch with the tractor.

"Nice campsite with minor flaws - The campsite is in a very nice location. The pitches are very spacious. We thought it was good to be able to book a pitch with private sanitary facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a small indoor pool which can be used free of charge. Since our pitch felt like it was swimming, we couldn't get our caravan out ourselves. There we got help from the staff who pulled us out with a wheel loader. The pitch was so muddy and so devastated by the previous owner that we couldn't get our caravan there by car and the whole pitch was under water. The staff should check how the pitch looks before the pitch is rented out again. The private sanitary building unfortunately has no heating, which could be quite chilly in November. Thank goodness we had a heater with us. There are only garbage cans at the entrance.

Would you prefer a standard comfort pitch or would you rather camp on a comfort pitch with private …sanitary facilities? Our luxurious and spacious sanitary buildings are fully equipped and meet the highest ANWB standards. We have special paved pitches for motorhomes that are located just outside the campsite and are ideal for a short stay, for example, when visiting the Obelink amusement park. And if you would like to go on holiday with your four-legged friend, that's fine too! Your dog is very welcome at our campsites. We look forward to welcoming you at Camping Vreehorst! Camping Vreehorst has all the facilities you need during your holiday. Take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool, grab a bite to eat at the food corner, take part in one of our many sports or rent a bike and go exploring! Besides all these fun activities, there are also important facilities such as the clean toilet blocks, which you can use for free, and the launderette, where you can do a load of washing if necessary. There is also a shop where you can get fresh bread rolls every morning, and in the park there is an inspiration point where you can get inspiration for the various trips and places of interest. There is plenty to keep children entertained in the Achterhoek region. From indoor play areas to high ropes courses, escape rooms and an amusement park just over the border, there is no chance of them getting bored. Camping Vreehorst in Winterswijk has beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Experience swimming fun all year round at Camping Vreehorst.
