"Great proximity to Cologne, but otherwise nothing special - We chose this campsite for a few days because of its proximity to Cologne. It was still possible to reserve a pitch 2 days before arrival. We were initially offered a pitch near the parking lot. As we suspected that this would be very busy due to the adjacent restaurant and swimming pool, we were able to choose another pitch. More work needs to be done on the whole site. The access roads should also be cleared of weeds. The sanitary facilities were reasonably good. Showers spacious, without shower coins. However, the cleanliness could generally be better there. There was a 50% discount for the swimming pool at reception. In previous years it should have been included. The swimming pool itself is also getting on in years, but it's enough to cool off. But to charge 4 euros extra for a sun lounger is a rip-off. All in all, the price/performance ratio is not appropriate. But due to the good location you can apparently demand it. It's okay for a few days' stay, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a longer vacation.

"Nice location, but... - Back in Germany (previously on 5 pitches in France): You were not allowed to choose a pitch, had to position and align the caravan according to instructions. Only normal bread rolls from the previous day. Since we were placed right next to the parking lot, it was quite loud during the bathing and restaurant operations. Wifi costs 2€ per day per device (completely out of date). Car on site costs extra (2,50€), so better park in front of the door. When I wanted to clarify something at reception and a downpour started, the groundsman stood me in front of reception in the rain because he had to quickly close the windows in the sanitary area and I was soaking wet afterwards - unbelievable.

"From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. the chain goes on the gate! - Fine to close the reception from 1:00-15:00 p.m. but please leave the gate open for guests who want to get out!

"close to Cologne and yet in the middle of the forest - CP with advantages and disadvantages (see evaluation) The campsite is in a totally quiet location on a meadow with tall trees in the middle of the forest. Right next to it is a beautiful large forest pool with mini golf course. The restaurant is also right next door as well as an adjacent game reserve Site with approx. 70 pitches, of which unfortunately 50% are occupied by permanent campers. (Flagpole; geraniums; garden gnomes...partly also neglected) Sanitary facilities outdated but clean. Staff...slightly annoyed, dogs are welcome, but there are no poop bags or waste garbage cans for them on the entire site. Restaurant is beautifully situated but with the food quality of a snack bar

"A little outdated - In wise foresight, you won't get anything on the pitch in Cologne (this was later confirmed to us by other campers), we tried our luck here and were successful. The site itself is a typical campsite, with building sites here and there and the sanitary facilities literally screaming for it. The latter are getting on in years and in no way justify the price paid. Otherwise, the location in the middle of nature and far away from any roads makes it very quiet. A restaurant right next to the site can be used to relax in the evening. The site is conveniently located for exploring Cologne itself, whether on foot, by public transport (a short walk to the bus stop is necessary) or on foot. All in all, a quiet place in the middle of nature at a slightly exaggerated price in relation to the substance. And always remember, camper van drivers greet each other.

"Nothing for the disabled - The former gem in the big city is becoming increasingly run-down. The disabled toilet is a disaster. The shower stool is broken, the grab rail at the washbasin is falling off the wall, the trickle of water in the shower cannot be kept at the right temperature etc. etc.
