"Indian summer at a fine campground - We experienced a fine week at this beautiful campground. Close to Edam and Volendam. Everything is easy to reach by bike.

"3 weeks relaxing summer vacation / insider tip! - A place exactly to our taste, a quiet and not too big place in a scenic location. The site is not far from Edam, surrounded by meadows directly on the Markermeer. A farm with around 45 cows belongs to the campsite. Children can go into the cowshed by prior arrangement and accompanied by an adult. There are also rabbits, a pig, chickens and alpacas on the farm. There is also a playground with a trampoline, swing and slide. Various go-karts and pedal tractors can be used free of charge. You can swim and bathe in the Markermeer, you just have to cross a small and little-used path and the dike. The sanitary facilities are new and were always clean. There are a total of 5 showers, 6 toilets and a family bathroom. At peak times there were short waiting times for the showers, but this didn't bother us personally. There is free Wi-Fi, but you shouldn't expect too much here. You can buy meat from the farm's own cattle farm as well as other farm produce such as eggs and cheese. Fresh pizzas from the wood-fired oven are available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Shopping facilities are available in Edam and Volendam. There are many sights and excursion destinations in the surrounding area.

"Had a great time again - This is now my third year on the site and I am still delighted. There is now also a very convenient app that you can use to order first-class goods and find lots of information about the campsite and the surrounding area. Ineke and Suzanne are wonderfully friendly hosts and the men also help wherever they can.

"Beautiful quiet farm campsite - Very nice, small campsite right next to an active farm. Very nice operators who have an answer to all questions. Delicious pizza evening with fresh wood-fired pizza. Great play facilities for children. The rabbit enclosure with petting opportunities was particularly well received, but the goats and alpacas were also very popular. A visit to the cowshed was also always well received. Great cycling opportunities around Edam. Good connections to Amsterdam by bike and bus. As the campsite is in the countryside (approx. 2 km to Edam), bicycles are an absolute must, otherwise you have to use the car all the time.

"First mini camping - Nice little place. Plenty of options for the children. Playground a little older. Super sanitary building and connection to the courtyard. Pizza evening was very tasty. Beach on site not nice, the North Sea 20 minutes away by car is more suitable. Sightseeing in Amsterdam by bus and train recommended. Nice bike tours possible. Shopping and bus station unfortunately further away.

"Relaxing vacation with farm flair - At the beginning of our vacation, we were greeted very nicely by the operators and introduced to the site. We were also offered help if the access road was too narrow, but everything worked out fine. The campsite is located on an active farm with dairy cattle farming. There is therefore plenty to see, especially for small children. In addition to cows, goats and pot-bellied pigs can be visited. There are only 25 pitches, which we think is good. The pitches are large enough and have electricity. There is no water at the pitch. As it's not far to the tap, it didn't bother us. The pitches have solid ground in the area of the awning. You won't find a kiosk or a market, but the town of Edam is only about 2 km away. You can find everything there. Bread rolls are not available on the campsite. The sanitary area deserves special mention. Modern, bright and super clean. The manager still cleans here herself and you can see that. The campsite is only separated by a dyke on the Isjelmeer. Ideal view. There is a marina in Edam and lots of other things to see. As is usual in Holland, the surrounding area is particularly suitable for cycling. We also cycled around the nearby island of Marken. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. A large stone pizza oven is often fired up on the site. Highly recommended. Campers are also welcome next to the pitches. There are no permanent campers here. Overall, we can recommend the site if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to go on excursions by bike. Fortunately for us, there is no entertainment here. All in all a top place

Profile

Immer mehr Urlauber wünschen einen Aufenthalt an ländlicher Lage. Viele bevorzugen die Ruhe des Landes und den Kontakt mit dem Landleben vor einem Aufenthalt auf großen, unpersönlichen und kommerziellen Campingplätzen. Edam kann zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreicht werden. …Der Campingplatz liegt 1 km nördlich von Edam, am Deich (Zeevangszeedijk) inmitten des Moorgebiets der Gemeinde Zeevang. Im Frühling können Sie hier Weidevögel sowie die Uferschnepfe, der Kiebitz und der Rotschenkel beobachten. Mit dem Fahrrad können Sie die pittoreske Umgebung mit herrlichen Aussichten entdecken (Radrouten sind anwesend). Rund um das Ijsselmeer genießen Sie Wasser(sport)spaß. Außer dem Bauernhof-Camping mit 25 Zeltplätzen besteht unsere Firma aus einem Viehhof mit Milchkühen und Schafen. Es gibt zwei Hängebauchschweine und Hühner. Sie können sich mit dem Viehhof bekannt machen und lernen wie Kühe gemolken werden. Die geräumigen Zeltplätze (100-120 m2), befinden sich an der Nordseite der Firma und sind mit Elektrizität (6 Ampere) versehen. Das beheizte Toilettengebäude verfügt über moderne, saubere, frische Sanitäranlagen. Es gibt 5 Duschen, 6 Toiletten, eine Familiendusche, ein Babybad, eine Toilette/Dusche für Behinderte, Waschkabinen und Abwaschplätze. Warmes Wasser und Dusche sind gratis. Waschmaschine und Trockner stehen Ihnen zur Verfügung. Am Campingplatz soll der Hund angeleint werden. Hunde müssen außerhalb des Geländes ausgeführt werden. Über eine Treppe auf dem Deich erreichen Sie den Erholungsstrand mit Badesteg am Ijsselmeer. Es gibt ausreichend Schwimm-, Fisch-, und Wassersportmöglichkeiten. In Volendam (kann mit dem Fahrrad erreicht werden) befindet sich ein subtropisches Schwimmparadies. Für Kinder gibt es eine Schaukel, Rutschbahn, ein großes Trampolin und Go-Karts. An der Rezeption können Sie sich ein- und auschecken und stehen Ihnen Prospekte, Radrouten und sonstige Informationen zur Verfügung.
