"Short vacation in Belgium - There are very few pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The focus is on rental properties and permanent tenants. Rather unsuitable for very large motorhomes. Directly on the railway embankment, but the trains are surprisingly quiet. Knokke is easily accessible by bike.

" - The campsite is located on a road and next to a railroad line. A suburban train or a train passes by every 20 minutes. It didn't really bother us. It was a bit unusual, but after 1 day it was okay. Very nice lady at the reception, immediately gave us her cell phone number in case of emergency at night. 15 minutes walk to the wide beach of Heist. 10 minutes walk to the shopping center. Toilets were cleaned once a day. Hot water showers included in the price, unfortunately you had to keep pressing the shower button as the water ran out every 10 seconds to save water. Chip shop directly in front of the campsite. Lots of mobile homes, less tourist traffic. W-Lan available, small kiosk, bread rolls available. All in all nice.

Profile

DE CAMPING:7 ha groot met plaatsen voor Stacaravans, tourcaravan & toeristische verblijvers. Mooi terrein vlakbij zee, uitstekend geschikt voor strandvakanties. Uitstapjes naar kunststeden als Brugge en Gent. Dagtrips naar Engeland zijn ook mogelijk via Zeebrugge Ferry op 1.5 km van …de camping. Faciliteiten zijn : superrette ,wasserette,speeltuin,frituursnacks,campinggas verkoop. 10 min. naar het stadscentrum Heist en 15 Min.naar zee te voet. Afstand naar Knokke: 4 km Routebeschrijving: Antwerpen-Knokke-Heist E34/N49. Bij de stoplichten links af richting Brugge/Zeebrugge volgen. Daarna rechtsaf afslag Heist. Volg deze weg +/- 6km wij zitten aan de linkerkant van de straat. Openbaar vervoer: Het is gemakkelijk reizen tot aan de camping met de NMBS spoorlijnen. U moet sowieso in Brugge station overstappen of tenzij u een rechtstreekse trein naar Knokke hebt. Op de lijn Brugge- knokke stapt u in het Station van Heist uit. Net voor de trein Heist station nadert ziet u de camping aan de rechterkant vanuit het wagon. Wanneer u buiten komt (station Heist) loop naar links tot aan het viaduct. Dan het viaduct onderdoor en ziet u de camping meteen rechts. Het Zilvermeeuw team heet u welkom Met vriendelijke groet
