"Large apartment to relax in - A great campsite with a well-equipped vacation home. Highly recommended for a short vacation trip. Everything you could possibly need was available. Only the bathroom door strangely wouldn't close and the heaters made strange noises at long irregular intervals which was a bit annoying. Nevertheless, the vacation home is highly recommended, as the surrounding area also offers many hiking opportunities and you can reach the city very easily!

"Small cozy campsite - Three of us were here with a camper van, tent and dog and ended up here by chance. We liked it so much that we stayed for several days. Small, cozy place with restaurants and a friendly groundsman. We would come back any time.

"Not recommended - All the attention is given to the permanent campers. Tour prohibited. Only under supervision. Toilets no paper, no soap etc. Not possible.

"O.K. for a weekend. - We were there with friends for the weekend and luckily arrived early. The reserved pitches were not shown to us - we had a free choice, which raises the question of whether we could have stood together in the evening (as requested in the reservation) On the toilet the note that due to Corona the toilet paper has to be brought by yourself (would be an advantage to know this in advance). The sanitary building was generally clean but somehow very old-fashioned and we had no information about the 1,- € pieces needed for showering until then. Hot water time is sufficient for showering even with long hair. We skipped the bread rolls for Sunday - they weren't so good that we would have paid the money for them again. The groundsman was really nice and friendly. The space for tourists is quite limited. The site is to be extended in the future, but only for tiny houses. Our "job", which is why we were in Braunfels, is done and the site itself was not nice enough for another visit. However, the costs are fair and appropriate for the site.

"Nice campsite, we would love to come back - My husband and I arrived with a folding caravan after making a reservation at short notice and without any problems. I like it when the pitches are more informal and not so big, the campsite operator was very friendly and the bread roll service worked well. We enjoyed the proximity to the castle and the Lahn hiking trail. You are also quickly in Limburg, Wetzlar, Gießen. Unfortunately, the nearby road was sometimes noisy. During the day it did not disturb, rather in the late evening. At night it was completely quiet on the campsite. All in all, we had a nice stay and would gladly come back here again.
