"A "camping site" that has fallen out of time! - We had deliberately chosen this site for a stopover on our trip to the Rhineland, but we cannot recommend it for that. The pitches are arranged between bungalows (with basements) or weekend houses on sometimes very narrow and uneven surfaces, and the paths to the sanitary facilities are also quite long. It is almost impossible to maneuver a caravan here without a mover. The site is probably quite old and seems to have been a company holiday camp or something similar in the past. The whole site suggests that. Now enough of the complaining, the supply is provided by a "Konsum" kiosk and a campsite restaurant, the somewhat older sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The reception staff are friendly and extremely courteous. If you want to stay here for a few days to visit Eisenach and the Wartburg, you'll be able to put up with it all, as our Swiss neighbors also said.

"Relaxing days over Ascension Day - We were planning our first trip with our new caravan not too far away. This pitch was a good choice. We were already at the site at 11:00 and our pitch wasn't free yet. So we went for a quick meal at the campsite restaurant. After 30 minutes we got the call that we could move into our pitch (pitch 30). So we set up and then it was pure vacation. Everything was clean, there were fresh bread rolls, even on Sundays and it wasn't noisy even on Ascension Day. The permanent campers were friendly and the lake was great for a walk. There are countless possibilities for activities. Just to name a few: Hike through the Dragon Gorge, visit to Wartburg Castle, bike tour to Creuzburg Castle, sightseeing in Eisenach and Mühlhausen and many more. Internet was available in 3 networks, TV watching possible with the Cube. WLAN is free in the reception area. Many thanks to the friendly team who put a lot of effort into the site and the satisfaction of the campers.

"Great surroundings - We spent 4 days at the campsite in September. The area is great for excursions (Eisenach, Wartburg etc.) and especially for hiking (Drachenschlucht). We could have spent much more time here. The campsite is very quiet in the middle of the forest by a lake. It is a bit dated, but everything you need is there. The sanitary facilities are also clean and tidy. There is a small kiosk with drinks, snacks and fresh bread rolls. We liked the restaurant, very friendly and tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful.

"Beautifully situated, well-kept place - Quietly situated site, somewhat secluded in the forest. Bathing lake in front of the Naase. Good supply, even if the shop is a bit nostalgic. Restaurant available. We were there between Ascension Day and Pentecost. It was very quiet as there was very little "through traffic". The sanitary facilities are not the most modern, but everything was always tiptop clean. However, there is no WiFi, which made it difficult for us to plan our routes. The floors are actually very hard, so you had to struggle with the pegs. The pitches are spread over several areas, so you don't have to stand like sardines in a tin.

"Whitsun 2019 at the CP Eisenach - Every Whitsun we like to come to this campsite, which is beautifully situated in the forest by a small bathing lake. The CP site is well maintained. The children like to play with the stone figures that stand at intervals along the path. The volleyball net in front of the kiosk, the small football pitch in the forest and the water games by the water are great fun. The restaurant on site is reasonably priced and offers regional dishes. The site operators are very friendly and helpful. There are few parceled-out pitches, but that doesn't bother you at all. Everyone will find a nice spot. However, steel pegs are recommended for the sometimes hard ground and you can go on beautiful hiking tours from the site as well as trips into the Thuringian Forest, for example to the nearby Wartburg Castle.
