"Suitable for transit - There is a friendly and welcoming reception. The pitches for tourists are located between the permanent pitches, whose huts are sometimes put together in an adventurous way. Of course, there is always work going on during the day. It is very quiet at night. The site is unlit at night and the whole area is somewhat unkempt. It is incomprehensible why there is no toilet paper and the showers cannot be regulated because there is only one hot water tap. Everything seems to be a bit outdated. This can also be seen from the fact that the radiators in the showers are completely rusty, although the cleanliness is perfectly fine. Conclusion: well suited for a stopover, but not for a longer stay. Big plus: the location, about 300 meters from the Dattelner lock and connection to many bike paths.

"great campsite - we were there for the summer festival.for a campsite it was a great festival there you have come up with something respect.we will be happy to come back to the next summer festival...met nice people it is a nice place.keep it up

"Simple, but nice - To start with: this site is not a premium campsite, but it doesn't want to be. The site is dominated by permanent campers, but also has plenty of free pitches for tourist campers. It is in an idyllic location on the outskirts of Datteln and near a canal crossing with a large lock (the "Dattelner Meer"). Here you can watch cargo ships for hours if you wish. Dogs are very welcome on the site, the sanitary facilities are a little dated but clean. However, there are not enough coat hooks. There is a small campsite pub where you can enjoy a cold beer or coffee, but there is no food. If you want fresh bread rolls in the morning, you have to drive to a nearby bakery. Due to the very reasonable pitch fees, the site is highly recommended.
