"Campsite at the Auensee - While passing through, we spent one night from Saturday, August 10 to Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the campsite on the Auensee (with Storm, directly on the lake). It was easy to get there and the site was well signposted. We were warmly welcomed and briefed. The campsite is located directly on the lake (very beautiful and inviting for swimming) and is also visited by NON-campsite guests during the day. You can choose where to pitch your tent, but we found that it was not so easy to connect to the electricity, even though we had booked it that way. The toilets by the lake were very dirty/disgusting and later completely blocked as they were also used by the public. We had hoped for a quiet night but unfortunately we had apparently arrived on the wrong day of the week, ATTENTION: Do not spend the weekend on the campsite, as it is possible that several families meet there to party and the night's rest (from 10 p.m.) is not observed (loud music, dancing and singing until 3 a.m.), which is apparently also known, as there is a sign in the sanitary building that you should call the police if the night's rest is not observed. We personally think that the campsite operator should ensure that the night's rest is observed and not the police. Conclusion: A short and noisy night. We cannot recommend the campsite by the lake (with or without electricity).

"Small quiet place - We used the site for transit, as it is only a few minutes' drive from the A9. It is small, very quiet (you can hardly hear the highway) and the staff are very friendly. The hiking trail along the Saaleschleife is wonderful. The bathing lake with its small island is probably great for children in summer.

"Small square directly on the lake - Small, cozy pitch right on the lake. Clean, modern sanitary facilities and washrooms. Small breakfast room. Various everyday necessities. Restaurant on the lake and 2 inns in the village. Good connection to cycling and hiking trails.

"Pleasant stopover - We stayed at the campsite for one night on our trip. The site can be reached via a narrow, well-signposted road. Arrival was uncomplicated. Park your vehicle, register after reception opens and order bread rolls. The site is on a slope. Chocks are a good idea, especially for larger vehicles. Some of the sanitary facilities are ultra-modern and clean. You need 50-cent coins for the shower (but then you get really hot water for 6 minutes). At the lake below there is a playground for children and a restaurant (open until 8pm).

Seit dem 01.10.2014 erwartet Sie ein junges, motiviertes Team!!! Bitte achten Sie auf die Aktionen auf unserer Internetseite!!! Der zwölf Monate im Jahr geöffnete Campingplatz Auensee in Joditz steht auf der Empfehlungsliste des DCC. Er liegt im Saaletal am Rande …des Frankenwaldes direkt am Ufer des gleichnamigen Badesees. 150 Dauer- sowie 50 Touristenstellplätze verteilen sich über das Gelände, während ein separater Bereich nahe des Seeufers Zeltgästen vorbehalten ist. Im Hauptgebäude sind die Duschen, Toiletten und ein Wäsche- beziehungsweise Bügelraum untergebracht. Auch befindet sich hier ein kleiner Aufenthaltsraum. Bei der Freizeitgestaltung spielt der See eine wichtige Rolle: Schwimmer und Schlauchbootfahrer starten an einem von drei Badestegen und können auf einer kleinen Insel einen Zwischenstopp einlegen. Wieder zurück am Ufer, laden eine Tischtennisplatte, ein Fußballplatz sowie ein Beachvolleyballfeld zu weiterer sportlicher Betätigung ein. Ebenso sind ein Kinderspielplatz und ein Grillhäuschen vorhanden. Wer nach einem langen Tag am Wasser nicht mehr selbst kochen möchte, kann im Seerestaurant einkehren und von dessen Terrasse den Blick über das Wasser und die grüne Umgebung schweifen lassen.
