"Goes like this.... - Camping like in Rimini. Side by side without boundaries. Listless staff in the catering area. Lots of gnats already in the afternoon.

"Simple and very warm - A very nice campsite. Unfortunately, I can't agree with the previous speaker that the sanitary facilities were filthy. I've experienced worse in France or similar places. The Corona rules are observed, unfortunately not by every camper, but by the campsite in any case! There are many permanent campers here, some with real huts and an allotment garden feeling, but there are also many campers who have been camping here for two months. That's why you get a very friendly welcome if you want to and the walk to the quarry pond is no more than 5 minutes. We liked it very much and if we are in the area again we will definitely make another trip to Friesenheim. Especially as the price is unbeatable!

"Camping - The campsite is nice but the nearby highway makes you feel like you're at a rest stop. A big drawback are the sanitary facilities, which are only cleaned once a day and probably not at the weekend. The toilets are much too low that I have big problems with osteoarthritis in my knees.

"Beautiful campsite directly on the quarry pond - The campsite is very nicely located, the approach takes some getting used to but always follow the signs then it works :) The reception was friendly and despite the fact that we were only traveling through, everything was fine. The pitches for short-stay campers are at the back, but they are large enough (it is advisable to have a very long (30-50m) power cable, as the power connections are very far apart, but the operator helps with problems in a friendly and uncomplicated manner (extra praise at this point). The sanitary facilities are modern and always clean. Due to the brevity of our stay, we only made little use of the leisure facilities and can say less here, but there is a lot on offer.

"Beautiful CP at a great swimming lake - We were looking for a campsite close to Europapark Rust and came across this great place. Given the low price, we expected less and were pleasantly surprised. Area A is beautifully situated right by the lake, the restaurant and the sanitary building. We got a pitch in C and were a little further away. It was a bit of a hike to empty the chemical toilet. Otherwise, we campers always have a bike to hand and these little problems are a thing of the past. The large sanitary building was clean, but the small toilet block by the tent meadow (we had to move there for one night as we had extended our stay and our pitch was reserved) was not quite so clean. A family of spiders had spread out there and probably didn't bother the cleaning lady... But again... we still liked it very much. The restaurant was great with very reasonable prices, the mini golf course very well maintained, the table tennis table a bit weathered but playable, the beach very clean, as was the water in the bathing lake. Despite the high temperatures this summer, the quality of the water was excellent. The beach has a steep slope, so that you can't stand after a good 5 meters. Great for swimmers, but limits the play area somewhat. The proximity to the highway and Europapark is another advantage. The staff are friendly and helpful. The CP is recommended both as a transit CP and for a longer stay.

Im Naherholungsgebiet "Baggersee Schuttern", genauer in der Gemeinde Friesenheim, liegt der Campingplatz Schuttern. Umgeben von Wald laden zwei 12 Hektar große Baggerseen die Campinggäste zu erholsamen Bade- und Sonnenstunden ein. Auf dem Platz stehen viele Baumgruppen und andere Gehölze, die …den Eindruck der landschaftlichen Idylle unterstreichen. Unmittelbar am See sorgt die kleine, rustikale Gaststätte "Tiki Bar Schutternsee" für das leibliche Wohl der Camper. Eine Sonnenterrasse ist vorhanden und auch ein Brötchen-Service wird angeboten. Die modernen und beheizten sanitären Anlagen verfügen über Dusch- und Einzelkabinen, Wasch- und Bügelraum und Koch- und Spülküche. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zudem behindertengerecht ausgebaut. Für die kleinen Gäste gibt es zwei Kinderspielplätze, wovon einer naturnah ausgebaut ist. Für Sportsfreunde steht sowohl ein Bolzplatz als auch ein Beachvolleyballplatz und eine Minigolfanlage bereit. Ein gut ausgebautes Wegenetz bietet die Möglichkeit schöner Fahrradtouren durch das Rheintal. Beliebte Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung sind außerdem das Freilichtmuseum "Vogtsbauernhöfe" in Gutach, der Europark in Rust, die Glashütte in Wolfach sowie die Städte Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Straßburg und Basel.
