"Short vacation - We stayed at the campsite for 3 nights. Reception and pitch allocation went really well, very nice people. The only thing I noticed was that the toilets urgently need to be renovated, but I think this will be done soon. And the new showers are nice but not exactly functional. It is difficult to take off your clothes without getting wet because the shower curtain is suboptimal. Otherwise everything was ok.

"Great view - Nice place with many excursion possibilities. Heidelberg not far away, easy to reach by bike. The four castles on the other side of the Neckar are easy to explore by bike or on foot via the nearby lock.

"Great quiet campsite! - The site is in a very beautiful location. We had a view of the Neckar and the 4 castles. A nearby lock is easy to reach on foot or by bike. We traveled as a couple. The campsite is suitable for children (playground and lots of vehicles for the little ones). We were able to choose our pitch. There is also a bread roll service. The shower facilities have just been renovated and the toilets are still to come. Everything is very clean. All in all, we can say that we liked it there very much and the place is recommendable. The operators are very friendly. Recommendation: You should really arrive as suggested. There is no way to avoid oncoming traffic.

"Wonderful stay - Quiet place, directly on the Neckar. Beautiful view of Neckarsteinach. You can be in town in a few minutes by bike if you need anything else from there. Even if you arrive a little later, you can still benefit from the bread roll service.

"A truly idyllic campsite - The campsite is in a very idyllic location directly on the banks of the Neckar loop, far away from any traffic noise below the Dilsberg fortress. The ancient trees are reminiscent of a park; as former Munich residents, we compared it to the English Garden or Nymphenburg Palace Park. We were simply completely satisfied, and the service with the fresh rolls was always to our complete satisfaction. The narrow access road mentioned by many other campers was no problem for us with our caravan and trailer or on our own, as there was very little oncoming traffic, you just have to be able to drive and swerve or back up a little if necessary. The toilets and shower/washrooms were always extremely clean, it doesn't get any better than that. We would like to thank the Seegardl family once again for the pleasant stay and wish them all the best for the future. Wolfgang and Margit Niggl

Profile

Der naturnahe, gewachsene Campingplatz hat ca. 100 Stellplätze. Sein Parkcharakter inmitten von Wald, direkt am Neckar gelegen lässt einen zur Ruhe kommen und durchatmen. Der Platz besteht bereits seit mehr als 60 Jahren und ist seit 2023 unter neuer Führung. …Mit dem Panoramablick auf die vier Burgen, direkt gegenüberliegend von Neckarsteinach und unterhalb der Burgfeste Dilsberg ist der Platz ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Der Neckarradweg führt in unmittelbarer Nähe am Campingplatz vorbei. Die Schleuse Neckarsteinach ist ca. 500 m entfernt. Über die Schleuse führt ein Fuß- und Fahrradweg nach Neckarsteinach. Die großzügigen Stellplätze befinden sich teilweise inmitten von altem Baumbestand mit gepflastertem Stellbereich, umgeben von Wiese. Eichhörnchen, Rehe, Waldvögel, Gänse und Schwäne fühlen sich hier zu Hause. Ein eigener Steg und eine Slipanlage laden zum Kanufahren oder zum SUP ein. Da der Neckar sehr sauber ist, kann man auch darin Schwimmen. Technikbegeisterte können sich die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe, kurz vor/und nach der Schleusung direkt vom Ufer aus anschauen, oder die Schleusung auf der Schleuse beobachten. Bei uns sind Hunde an der Leine erlaubt und kosten nicht extra. Ebenso bieten wir einen Brötchen Service an.
