"No recommendation- old, loud, expensive, unfriendly - After 3 weeks of camping vacation, this was the unsightly end. The facility looks ancient and not at all up to date. Showers with timers and extra costs? Where else do you get that? It's also terribly inconvenient if you can only use the toilets or showers with a key. So when one person takes a shower, the other has to stifle their need for so long. Queuing to wash up. Not being allowed to swim in a beautiful lake. Arriving too early to get bread rolls - instead of a friendly request to wait a moment or to come back, we were reprimanded for being told clearly when bread rolls would be served (and they weren't particularly tasty, but they were expensive). And for all this we paid €80 for 2 nights with 2 people / 3 dogs in a caravan - thank you very much.....

"Very beautifully situated, quiet place - We were traveling with 4 people with VAN and tent and enjoyed our stay on this site. We received a friendly welcome and were guided by the groundsman to a pitch suitable for a camper van and tent. The groundsman asked us about our plans and immediately gave us helpful tips for our visit to Erfurt and the BuGa. We then visited Erfurt on 3 days and made a detour (by train) to Halle on the 4th day. The restaurant on the square offers home-style cooking at fair prices and the service here is also very friendly. We could get over the fact that the sanitary facilities were a bit outdated. At least they were clean, which is not always the case even with more modern facilities. The operators were not responsible for the main disadvantage, the rainy weather. The weather is made at a higher level;-)

"Familiar place on a beautiful lake - Place is currently open and the restaurant too Beautiful place on a lake, very nicely grown. Camping here is still camping and not high tech. Always happy to come back!

"Much better than expected. - The 5 of us with motorhome were on the site on 07.12.19 to visit Erfurt. The reception was polite and courteous, the place OK for us, sanitary a bit old, but very clean. Public transport can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Anyone who wants to visit Erfurt is well advised to stay here.

Our family-run campsite "Erfurt am See" is located on a park-like site with trees, lawns and two lakes on the city limits of the state capital Erfurt. Thanks to our convenient location, you can reach many of Thuringia's cultural and …historical sights in a short time. In addition to the campsite, our facility offers two lakes and a restaurant (open seasonally).
