"A little paradise that is being brought back to life - Its location, tucked away among small woods and meadows, yet close to Bad Rehburg, Münchehagen, Lake Steinhude, and the beautiful town of Loccum, is what makes this place so appealing. You can quickly reach the region’s most popular spots, yet far away from the hustle and bustle, you can really relax here. A real highlight is the restaurant with its beer garden, where it’s easy to strike up a conversation. Sascha is doing his very best to bring this once-forgotten place back to life without letting it get overcrowded. We had everything we needed. The swimming pond with the ducks is simply the cherry on top.

"First impressions also in a new world for me, real quality of life, top - This is not only a beautiful place in nature, the campsite is in nature! Fantastically quiet, beautifully grown and laid out in nature, generously distributed, yet clearly laid out, this tranquillity and much more is what makes it special. The site here is something special, 1a.

"Very old! - No WiFi, no bread service, no lake for swimming. Toilets in the house are old, no individual washing cubicles, no hot water for washing, the corner for washing up is totally old and run down. The location is very quiet, which is nice but without a car there is nothing to do. I would not recommend it. Sorry

"Visit out of season - We stayed at the site for three nights at Easter. The season had not yet started, all facilities and water points were still out of service except for a wash house, so the rating only reflects a snapshot. The site is very secluded in a nature reserve. Access from the nearest main road is not signposted. Depending on which direction you are approaching from, the navigation system may lead you along unpaved forest and field paths. The best route is from the 441 into Blumenstraße, then Steinbreite and Erlengrund. Due to the weather, the outward journey was therefore a somewhat muddy affair and the pitch we were allocated was also very soggy and still had deep ruts from the previous campers. The campsite itself is nicely designed and I found the small bathing pond particularly idyllic. In slightly better weather, this site is certainly a gem for those seeking peace and quiet. The only wash house open is simple, but basically okay. Unfortunately, it was only cleaned once a day, which was not enough given the muddy paths. The only shower cubicle is a little cramped for changing and has no splash guard. Coin-operated hot water (7 min, 1 €) is more a matter of luck, if you are early it takes 3-4 minutes before the water is lukewarm. There is a sink in front of the wash house, but unfortunately there was still a lot of dirt and leaves from the last few months piled up here. The garbage cans were also very unsightly. The garbage cans were overflowing, so that the garbage had already been deposited in front of them. Some of the permanent campsites also made a very unkempt impression and the untidy, sometimes clearly overhanging bushes along the paths also fit into the overall picture. The previous telephone contact and the welcome were very friendly. In view of the obvious shortcomings, I would have expected a little more activity here, but the operator and staff made a very "chilled" impression. We really liked the on-site restaurant. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. However, there is no kiosk or snack bar. We did our shopping in Loccum, about 5 km away.

"Total tranquillity in the midst of nature - We visited this gem over a long weekend and found what we desperately needed - total peace and quiet. The campsite is very quiet; apart from birdsong, we didn't hear much. The campsite is mainly used by permanent campers who, unlike other campsites, were really friendly throughout :-) There is a restaurant with a new operator who was very nice and accommodating. The only downside is the sanitary facilities, which were clean so far, but very cold and not really inviting. There is still room for improvement. The campsite operator is very nice; you feel at home here and we will definitely be back.

"Wasn't a hit - No problem for a short-term overnight stay in a log cabin, but for a longer stay the equipment would have to be a bit more. Only the bare necessities, or you have to bring your own household goods. Doors don't close properly, closet wasn't secure and when walking past it always made noises as if it was going to collapse at any moment. There were a lot of cobwebs on the covered terrace (uncomfortable). Shower unfortunately in an outbuilding and then for a fee. Positive, beds good and freshly made. No toothbrush cups, one towel. Kitchen clean, but only the essentials available. Well, you can ask more for 45€ per night (2 nights) plus cleaning. Ps: Food in the restaurant expensive....Schnitzel were baked in the deep fryer.

Our campsite is located in the middle of the nature reserve of the Rehburger Berge. We have a natural swimming pool, a playground, a restaurant with a bowling alley and beer garden, a bakehouse, and large meadow areas for tents. …The Dinopark Münchehagen is in the same village. The Steinhuder Meer is just a 5-minute drive away. We look forward to welcoming you! A sauna, rental cabins, and rental caravans are also available. We are currently working on a cabin with facilities for travelers arriving by horse.
