"very good for campers - Very good for campers. Straight, rootless grass pitch into which the pegs can be hammered easily. However, the tent must be moved to the pitch for more than 4 nights. All types of foil and carpets are prohibited. Neither is barbecuing unless you set it up cleverly so that the groundskeeper (Bavarian friendliness is different!!!) doesn't see it. Geese roam the site in the morning and evening. Bread rolls are available to order. Sanitary clean and functional. Very positive: there are tickets to Regensburg at a greatly reduced price. Nearest shopping facilities approx. 7km away

"S.D. - We were pleasantly surprised, We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the clean, modern sanitary building. Bread roll service and a nice café on site, and you can make many excursions by bike or car. Regensburg, Kehlheim, Weltenburg Monastery all within a radius of 15 km. We will definitely come back.

"Quiet campsite really exciting - We liked it very much, quiet idyllic location a bit "off the beaten track" in the middle of nature. But really relaxing. As an early riser, I saw deer, rabbits and various birds. The site is very well looked after by the owner family, the sanitary facilities are new and very clean. There is also a nice café with homemade cakes and cold snacks, very good and highly recommended. The site is located directly on the cycle path, so there are many opportunities for cycling tours.

"Well-kept place - A superbly laid out and well-kept campsite with a very clean sanitary building. The pitches are large, level and have a well-kept lawn/meadow. Very friendly and helpful staff. The cakes in the campsite's own café are highly recommended. There are extra pitches (coupled) with all mod cons for overnight stays in transit.

"Nice place - Beautifully laid out site with large pitches, clean modern sanitary building, cycle paths directly from the site. Train connection to Regensburg (approx. 800 m away), a visit to the Kuchl brewery in Abensberg is highly recommended. Bread roll service and a nice cafe. The only disadvantage is that there is no restaurant or snack bar on the site.

Idyllisch und ruhig gelegen im schönen Donautal liegt der neu errichtete Campingplatz Freizeitinsel. Die Stellplätze sind 120m² groß und terrasenförmig angelegt, dadurch ist immer ein freier Blick ins Tal gegeben. Regensburg ist von uns 15 km entfernt, dass sind 15 …min mit der Bahn, 25 min mit dem Auto oder 45 min mit dem Rad. Wunderschön ist das Inselbad, ein Naturschwimmbad ohne Chlor, in 5 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Kaisertherme 5 Autominuten entfernt. Ein Teilstück des RMD-Kanals ist 200 m vom Platz entfernt, ladet zum Baden, Kanufahren oder einfach nur Spazierengehen ein. Befreiungshalle in Kelheim, Kloster Weltenburg und Donaudurchbruch sind ca.15 km entfernt. Neu ist der Hundertwasserturm in Abensberg, in 15 min mit der Bahn oder in 25 min mit dem Auto erreichbar.
