"Nice campsite - On arrival we had to wait about 30 minutes for our turn as we were there straight after the lunch break. The staff were very nice. The site is very large and therefore a bit confusing and rather hectic. The facilities are fully in order. The tent pitches were a bit confusing.

We had booked this campsite from 16.05. to 21.05.24. My husband had called Mosel Island before arrival because there was already talk of flooding in the media. "Come on, it won't be that bad here," he was told. We struggled through the traffic. The highways were so packed due to the Whitsun weekend. When we finally arrived, we were told to leave the campsite because of the flood. After asking the campsite about our paid vacation, all we got was a standard email saying that we could still come until the end of the season. Every normal camper has already booked their entire vacation at the beginning of the year, including us. When I asked if we could come next year, there was no reply. I really understand giving up some of my money because of the floods, but you should at least get the money back for the people you have booked or offer a realistic replacement period. This is a pure rip-off and an absolute cheek from the place.

"Do not contact customers when the campsite is closed - Ellenz, right next to the boat to Bielstein. We have a strange feeling about this experience at Mosel Island campsite. Is it a commercial move to force customers to return within 4 months to the place you've visited in its entirety for 5 days? Having a motorhome is synonymous with freedom, and forcing us to drive 800 kilometers there and back is totally against our wishes. We'd like to share this message because we'd like to protect other motorhome owners from this particular situation... but I think it's happened to other customers too, because Mosel Island has practised intelligently. It should be noted that as the other customers were not warned, they were forced to also pay for another campsite. As a result, the new customers who arrived over the weekend paid for their places. This is a very clever move on the part of the Mosel Island campsite, who are enjoying double benefits for a few days. Obviously, it's also about keeping your money. When you go to the police in Kochem, the officer tells you that if you hire a lawyer from the Rhineland-Palatinate region, he'll be able to defend you. This is also one of the reasons why the campsite allows itself every right.

"Short vacation on the Moselle - A beautifully situated site on an island in the Moselle. When it rains, the natural pitches quickly turn into a muddy meadow. The sanitary facilities are outdated and unfortunately not cleaned regularly Toilet paper was only sparsely replenished. An additional toilet and shower trailer does not reflect a 5 star campsite.

"Very nice place - Hello, this was our second time at this campsite. Everything was very nice so far. The reception was friendly and the pitch was beautifully situated right on the water. Unfortunately, I only have to criticize the cleanliness in the sanitary buildings. The floor was hardly cleaned or not cleaned at all (a brown stain was on the floor in the toilet cubicle for 3 days (or possibly still is)), and there were also mold stains in the shower cubicles. Unfortunately, I often observed the staff sitting on the floor in front of the washrooms and always on the phone. Maybe they should pay more attention to this because we would love to come back.

"Woman - Super unfriendly and disorganized staff! Cleanliness and hygiene in the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired. The price is not justified at all!

Mit dem Auto: Via Bundesstraße: Über die Bundesstraßen B 416 …und B 49. Via Autobahn: Über die Autobahn A 48 (Abfahrten Kaifenheim oder Kaisersesch) und über die Autobahn A 61 (Abfahrten Pfaffenheck, Boppard, Emmelshausen) Mit dem Wohnwagen/Wohnmobil: Via Bundesstraße: Sie erreichen uns bequem über die Bundesstraßen B 416 und B 49. Via Autobahn: Sie erreichen uns bequem über die Autobahn A 48 (Abfahrten Kaifenheim oder Kaisersesch) und über die Autobahn A 61 (Abfahrten Pfaffenheck, Boppard, Emmelshausen) Sollten Sie Bedenken bei engen Ortsdurchfahrten und einer kurvigen Bergabfahrt haben, so wählen Sie bitte von der A 48 kommend die Abfahrt Ochtendung und von der A 61 kommend die Abfahrt Dieblich. Mit dem Zug: Sie können uns bequem per Zug über die Hauptbahnhöfe Koblenz und Trier erreichen. An einem der beiden Orte angekommen, wählen Sie einen Zug entlang der Moselstrecke und steigen in Treis – Karden, Ortsteil Karden aus. In Karden halten Züge der Klasse Regionalbahn sowie Regionalexpress. Bitte beachten Sie die jeweiligen Fahrpläne in den Hauptbahnhöfen. Am Bahnhof in Karden angekommen, können Sie per Bus(Fahrpläne an der Haltestelle vor dem Bahnhof beachten) nach Treis gelangen. Hier wählen Sie den Ausstieg „Am Laach“. Von dort aus sehen Sie die Freizeitinsel schon.
