"Verwarloster Platz - We have been going to the campsite for 13 years, this year was the last time. Since the change of ownership the site has been getting worse from year to year, the paths are broken with potholes, when it rains you get stuck with the car, if you are lucky a nice permanent camper helps, otherwise there is only a farmer in the village who pays for the rescue. After a rainy day you can't walk across the site for 3 days, paths are under water and muddy, your own pitch is then also under water. It is best to arrive only if there was no rain 1 week before. Toilets and showers old-fashioned but clean. It used to be a nice quiet place, unfortunately everything just decays, the whole day children scream because many parents do not take care of their kids, the designated Radauwiese is not used, as well, there is nothing to play. Some permanent campers think they are alone on the site, receive visitors and then the loud conversation starts. For us this place is out of the question, no trace of relaxation, if you are unlucky you have a camping bus standing next to you at night with the parking heater running.

"Campsite in a wonderful location, but poor surroundings - A wonderful site at the mouth of the Schlei. Access very narrow for larger caravans (but manageable). The pitches directly on the lake very small (no space for awning). Other pitches large enough. The sanitary facilities are an imposition, but are to be renewed next year on demand.

"Not worth the money..... - Wash house totally outdated, cabins in the toilets have been removed from the kindergarten so tiny..... Place generally not in a good state of maintenance The bright spot is the snack bar 👍

"Permanent camper - Unfortunately, the ugly 'fortresses' of the permanent campers are in the front row. Instead of the gray windbreak walls, small hedges would be more attractive and the permanent campers should also take care of the weeds on their pitches. These are the first visual impression for every newcomer.

"You can make more of it here - Unfortunately we can only give 3 * here. There is still a lot of potential here, the welcome was very friendly, we had a place directly on the Schlei, there was previously a permanent camper who had left the place with loose sidewalk plates, but we chose the pitch ourselves because we wanted to go to the water, the loose plates should be completely removed, unless there is another permanent camper on it, but there is still a huge tent meadow and pitches in the rear area, which are very well maintained. Shopping possibility about 1 km away at EDAKA in the vacation home area, bread service around the corner in the hotel, the sanitary facilities are very old, but were always very clean, like the whole place, the restaurant / snack bar with the small corner pub should also invest in new furniture, the prices here for the food and drinks were ok, and we also liked it, the area around the square is ideal for cycling, you can reach everything in a short time. For sailors, motor sport boats and sport anglers it is a paradise, to Kappeln it is about 5 km, from here you can make great trips with ships, Kappeln is also an interesting town with a bascule bridge, all together we felt comfortable here and have relaxed after a week relaxed our journey home.

""Coronation" of a really bad day - Due to a flat tire on my bike, we arrived at the campsite late in the evening. Although we had phoned in advance to register our arrival and were assured that arriving late would not be a problem, we found ourselves standing in front of a locked registration desk, completely sweaty and hungry. As you can only get hot water in the tiny and filthy shower facilities with shower tokens, we were almost desperate. Our salvation came in the form of the snack bar owner, who gave us access to a hot shower. As a cyclist with a tent, it is completely impossible to get food, as there is no store, not even a bakery, within a 5 km radius ... When we asked the "nice" lady at reception where we could have breakfast here, she sent us by bike to a fish stall 2 km away!!!
