"A great vacation with one flaw - We stayed at the campsite for 3 nights. The groundsman and the operators of the Seestube are very nice. A bit chaotic perhaps, but friendly and nice. The site is quiet and the sunbathing lawn - unfortunately public - is very nice. The lake and the panorama are great. Only the sanitary facilities should be cleaner. I would have liked to see much more cleanliness in the corners and on the surfaces. Lime stains and toothpaste stains were unfortunately the rule. The toilets were superficially cleaned but it smelled disgusting in the men's toilet.

"Extremely unfriendly and dishonest !!! - We were the first campers on the campsite in May. Between all the permanent campers there is a very small slope for about 5 tents. We planned to stay there from Thursday to Monday. Although the price list that Mrs. M.S. gave us showed a different price, we paid the higher price that was verbally quoted without grumbling. We then decided to leave on Sunday morning. My daughter went to Mrs. S. on Saturday evening just to tell her that she could rent out the campsite earlier. Because in the space of a few days, the little hammock filled up. Mrs. M.S. had an employee draw up an invoice and paid my daughter back the sum of 30 euros. We initially paid 44 euros for 4 nights. When she came to see me, we decided to give her the money back as it would have been completely dishonest to pocket it. No sooner said than done, my daughter went back....and what happened next is worlds away from friendliness, gratitude and honesty!!! They were very unfriendly to my daughter and then issued another bill with grumbling. They charged 25 euros for two nights. On the first bill we should have paid 14 euros for one night. Now she got 5 euros back from the employee. Because according to his calculation 14+25=39, which means 44-39=5. So far correct! But then 5x4= 20 and not 44 euros. According to Adam Riese, we should have gotten 11 euros back. When I told her that we were not interested in a refund, but in being honest, Mrs. M. became very impertinent. After she told us that she would actually still get money from us.... she turned around and left us standing there. All I can think of is: "kicked dogs bite". Even though Mrs. Unfriendly made it easy for us to leave the mountains, the landscape is a dream and the inhabitants are warm and courteous.

"Sanitary facilities disaster, lots of car traffic on the square - We had decided on the campsite at short notice because we knew the area and were there for 5 days with a small motorhome. 20 vacation camping pitches only, these are located on the main thoroughfare of the site. There is no access control, not even for the many day visitors to the public bathing area. As a result, there is a lot of traffic from people looking for a parking space and those driving through the private properties. There were also no rest periods for the traffic, let alone controlled. There is no barrier. overall small places for campers on unkempt lawn / gravel areas. also the bathing area unkempt lawn. The condition of the sanitary facilities was catastrophic (no shelves in the shower only a small hook). Second within 5 days only 2 times !!!! roughly cleaned. The building is only 3 years old. The scullery was not cleaned at all. Complaints were summarily dismissed with "it's been like this for a long time, I can't change it, the municipality of Riegsee is responsible for it" according to the groundskeeper, and you had the feeling as a short-term camper that you were disturbing the main activity (restaurant business). We cannot recommend this site to anyone.

"nice friendly place in direct lake location - We only visited the site for a weekend, but would probably have done it again. The staff were quite friendly, but the effort involved in registering was surprisingly time-consuming due to the changeover to a new computer program. But that should be history by now. Our pitch offered a beautiful view of the lake and nature. However, the site is not very large and some pitches are occupied by permanent campers, so it may be advisable to book in advance in the high season.

"Overnight stay - on the adjoining parking lot (unmown meadow), as the campsite was full. The place was so crooked that even wedges were not enough to straighten the VW bus. Loud. And at full price. Once and not again!!!!

Unser Campingplatz liegt unmittelbar am Ostufer des Riegsees und bietet das ganze Jahr Gelegenheit, Ruhe und Entspannung zu finden. Der Riegsee zählt zu den wärmsten Seen Oberbayerns (Mai bis Okt.18 bis 25 Grad C ) und lädt ein zum Baden, …Rudern (Bootsverleih im Ort ), Segeln, Surfen, Angeln und im Winter zum Schlittschuhlaufen und Eisstockschießen. Der Campingplatz im Norden des Landkreises Garmisch-Partenkirchen gelegen, ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, Radtouren und Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Jeder Stellplatz hat eine Stromversorgung und ist an das Wassernetz angeschlossen. Moderne Sanitäreinrichtungen - auch für Behinderte, eine große Spülküche, eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner stehen unseren Besuchern zur Verfügung. Für unsere kleinen Gäste bieten wir einen Spielplatz mit Schaukeln, Rutsche und Sandkasten an. Das Restaurant "Seestube" am Campingplatz bietet gemütliche Gasträume und eine wunderschöne Sonnenterrasse. Der Wirt sorgt bei guter bayerischer und internationaler Küche für Ihr leibliches Wohl.
