"Rating - At the moment, peak season, there are a lot of free spaces. Not much has been invested here since it opened in 2009.

"Sad example of a run-down pitch ....not worth a star - We found this pitch when we were passing through. Neglected and run-down... What a shame that this place can call itself a campsite. We have never seen anything so loveless. Sanitary ? Available but no use. With plenty of imagination sufficient for an overnight stay, but that was it

"Rip-off at breakfast - We stayed 3 nights at the CP. In general we liked it, but the shock came when we paid. Since the hotel offers breakfast for 6,00 Euro we booked it at the same time and had to pay 8,00 Euro (that's more than 30 % more)! When we asked why, we were told that we had increased the price and this increase is still not on the Internet (we are at home for 1 week). Too bad that we were ripped off like this!

"has seen better times - but absolutely fine for a stopover - The place has seen better days, no question. But for an overnight stay just passing through, it's absolutely fine. We were passing through with our motorcycle and tent. The sanitary facilities were small, a bit outdated, but clean and you have hot water for showers - what more do you really need? Oh yes, the motorcycles were parked under cover right next to the tent (in the former play tower) The restaurant is good and reasonably priced. I wouldn't go on vacation there now, but I would gladly visit this place again for an overnight stay while passing through.

"Ideal transit point - The site is very quiet and is particularly suitable as a transit site because it is only 1 km from the A 93 and is still absolutely quiet. It's also ideal that the adjacent restaurant offers breakfast for €6.

"Super stopover - 3 minutes to the highway and yet quiet. Sanitary facilities old but clean. The small restaurant in the hotel is good and reasonably priced.

Der Campingplatz Schönwald liegt am Rande des Naturparks Fichtelgebirge und gehört zu dem familiengeführten Gasthof Turm. Einerseits besitzt er dank der Nähe zur A93 eine verkehrsgünstige Lage, zum anderen präsentiert sich die Umgebung sehr idyllisch und ruhig. Der Untergrund aller …Stellplätze in dieser 2009 eröffneten und ganzjährig betriebenen Anlage besteht aus Rasengittersteinen. In den modernen sanitären Anlagen befinden sich Duschen, WCs, eine Waschmaschine sowie ein Trockner. Da sich der Campingplatz direkt an das Hotel Turmhof anschließt, eignet er sich besonders für Urlauber, die nicht täglich selbst kochen möchten. Morgens können Camper im Restaurant gegen Bezahlung zudem am reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet teilnehmen oder nach vorheriger Bestellung lediglich frische Brötchen abholen. Das Wellness-Angebot des Hotels umfasst Sauna und Solarium, einen Whirlpool und ein Dampfbad. Außerdem können sich Campinggäste über ermäßigte Eintrittspreise für den Kinderspielpark freuen: Hier versprechen mehrere Karussells, ein Trampolin und eine Schiffschaukel, aber auch mehrere Indoor-Angebote vergnügliche Stunden für die ganze Familie.
