"Super place - I come here several times a year and the friendliness and helpfulness of the site operator is always outstanding. The catering is also very clean and effective. The site stands out with its clean lawn. The proximity to the Sonnenbach reservoir is also not to be sneezed at. The area is ideal for cycling and hiking. The people are very friendly and the local restaurants are also highly recommended. I'm always delighted when I'm there.

"Beautiful campsite right on the lake - Beautiful campsite, right on the lake. Very nice and uncomplicated operator. Petting zoo, playground, table tennis tables and football pitch available. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but okay.

"Very nice location, sanitary catastrophic - Wonderfully quiet location on the lake. Very nice with a dog. However, the fur noses are not officially allowed in the lake on the sandy beach. The sanitary facilities are old and cleanliness is probably a foreign word. That's why we won't be back.

"Super campsite and very reasonably priced - We were there for the first time, but honestly not for the last time.the campsite owner Mr. Veile is very friendly and helpful and always there when you need him.we have never experienced such a friendliness of a campsite owner.we will gladly spend our next camping vacation again at the Sonnenhof.Hermann and Emma Ostertag

"Recreation in scenic surroundings with the family - We came to the Sonnenhof by chance this year in August. We were with our children, looking for a swimming lake to cool off at around 35 degrees. We had a really fun day at the lake and made friends. On the way home again in the evening, we decided to take a closer look at the campsite. The children thought the place (petting zoo, playground, football pitch) was just made for them. We asked the campsite owner for a pitch. Luckily he had one ready, right next to the fence (with a view of the lake). We then drove home and were back the next day with the team. Unplanned, it ended up being 2 full weeks at the end of August. After that we were there every weekend from Friday to Sunday until 3.10.2016. The campsite is perfect for families with children and dogs. You can speak to the owner on a first-name basis. Children have plenty to do with the leisure activities on site, which also gives parents some rest and relaxation. The events with live music on certain weekends also have a special charm. I can tell you a lot, because tastes are known to be different. Everyone should decide for themselves. For our part, we will be back for the opening in 2017 and will certainly spend one or more weekends there. P.S. We had the feeling that time sometimes stood still at the Sonnenhof, and an open barbecue was allowed this year.

Our campsite is situated in the "Ellwanger Lakeland", quietly located between idyllic forests and the lake Sonnenbach, which is ideal for swimming and surfing. Nevertheless, we are easily accessible from the A7 highway in about 10 minutes by car. The …campsite is equipped with new, modern and barrier-free sanitary facilities (new 2024!) with private bathrooms, kiosk, restaurant with sun terrace, large children's playground with petting zoo, free WiFi and much more. Nevertheless, we are easily accessible from the A7 in about 10 minutes by car: At the autobahn exit "Ellwangen-Unterschneidheim" …A7 drive to "Röhlingen" and then to "Pfahlheim", there turn left towards "Beersbach". Follow the traffic signs to "SONNENHOF".
