"Quiet campsite in the countryside - Beautifully situated campsite by the river. Flat meadow area, sunny, some shade. Friendly welcome, reception was only open at 6.00 pm. We pitched up at midday, the electricity columns were open. The sanitary facilities were clean and adequate. The city center is within walking distance, we also walked to a supermarket.

"Waldviertel must be like this - Nice, friendly, informal, even the reception suggests a pleasant stay. And so it was! Free choice of pitch on a large meadow, directly on the Thaya, lots of deeply relaxed campers, far away from any hustle and bustle, WLAN right up to the last corner of the pitch, old but spotlessly clean sanitary facilities and plenty of them, showers with a 50 cent charge are no longer quite up to date but you can easily manage with a coin. Thayatal cycle path on the doorstep, it's not far to the village, but quite an uphill climb.

"Quiet and simple - Quiet location, swimming possible in the outdoor pool 10 minutes away, the river does not invite you to swim, sanitary facilities outdated but clean, open barbecue area unfortunately fogs up the whole site, cycling opportunities very easily accessible from the site. Recommended for a few days if you are not looking for luxury.

"Passageway with plenty of space. - We had planned to stay for two days, but ended up only staying for one night. The lady in charge cashed in the same evening as she had the next day off. There is no real operator, but you can tell by looking at the site. There is a playground, but unfortunately it consists more or less only of a swing. The adjacent river wasn't really inviting for a swim in mid-July - and we are real water rats. There is no real entrance, just an aluminum ladder. It is a natural body of water, so there was a lot of flotsam and jetsam. The sanitary facilities are clean, but quite rustic. What is convincing is the price and the space - plenty of room. Perfect for a drive through or as a starting point for excursions - but without older children. There would be a lot of nagging from the kids.

The small village "Waidhofen an der Thaya" with …its medieval city centre is one of the most beautiful towns of Lower Austria. Lots of walks and cycleways make it possible for our guests to get to know the beauty of the region. Area for barbecues, shady grass-camping places;
