"If you like it tight, this is the place for you - I personally took away from this that in future I would only go to campsites with permanent pitches.

"Top recommended place - Come from the beautiful Sauerland. We were there at the end of February. We actually wanted to park our motorhome on the Elbe in Meißen - danger of flooding. When we drove on late in the evening we discovered by chance a blue campsite sign which we followed and found ourselves at the Waldbad Oberau campsite. The site was of course closed. But as we were self-sufficient, it was no problem to spend the night in the large parking lot in front of the entrance. The next day, Monday, we were able to make the super nice acquaintance of one of the site's employees, who also allowed us to visit the site. We were amazed at how clean and tidy the site was at this time of year! To top it all off, we were also allowed to dispose of our chemical toilet and fill up our 10-liter water canister. Our heartfelt thanks once again! We will definitely visit the site again when it is open.

"Clean place & friendly team - Really great campsite. We were 5 teenagers and it was absolutely no problem that we were still under 18. Of course with the consent of our parents. Beautiful grounds. You are also undisturbed. The fact that a handball team was partying next to us meant that nobody disturbed our night-time activities.

"Tent vacation - We went camping for a week. We are 2 adults and 2 children. It was a great vacation. The staff are nice and totally helpful. There was disinfectant everywhere and signs about social distancing. We were not on the tent meadow but stood a bit apart on the lawn. It was a great spot. It was shady and the children could get into the water and we could watch them from the tent. Another highlight was the mini golf course. There is also a playground, table tennis tables and a volleyball court. The sanitary buildings were always clean, despite the fact that the campsite was full. There are a lot of permanent campers on the site. They are all very nice. (we have experienced it differently). There is a restaurant on the site, which is open from midday until 7pm. The service is very friendly and open to suggestions. 100% better than the tenant last year. The only small drawback: there is no store where you can get something quickly. The nearest stores are about 5 km away in Weinböhla, Lidl, Penny, Edeka. So either bring everything with you or come by car so that you can go shopping. We didn't mind at all. We felt so comfortable that we have already booked the next week again. We'll take the bikes with us and explore the surrounding area.

"Reliable, flexible, clean and very friendly staff - We made a telephone inquiry and booked for 4 families with 4 vehicles and a caravan. All of our commitments and the sufficient space were kept free for us. Even the extension and the late dismantling gave us enough space and a stress-free arrival/departure. The staff were always friendly and helpful. In summary, the stay was very relaxed and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. The cleanliness and hygiene of the entire property were first class throughout. We will definitely be back. Kind regards from the Graupner family

Der Campingplatz "Waldbad Oberau", der vom Deutschen Tourismusverband e.V. ausgezeichnet worden ist, liegt am Nordwestrand des Friedewaldes, eines ausgedehnten Waldgebietes, das sich zwischen Moritzburg und Weinböhla erstreckt und zum LSG "Friedewald und Moritzburger Teichgebiet" gehört. Er befindet sich nördlich von …Weinböhla inmitten von Wald und Wiesen und in der Nachbarschaft weiterer Teiche. Vom Bahnhof Niederau der Strecke Leipzig - Riesa - Dresden ist der Platz 2 km entfernt. Er verfügt über 30 Campingstellplätze mit Elektroanschluss und einen modernen, komplett eingerichteten Bungalow mit E-Heizung und TV. Es stehen Waschmaschine und Trockner zur Verfügung. Eine Gaststätte auf dem Gelände läd zum Verweilen ein. Das Waldbad ist ein Naturbad mit 9 000 m² Wasserfläche Es ist in der Zeit vom 15. Mai bis 15. September täglich geöffnet. Für Camper ist der Eintritt frei.
