"yoooo..., goes like this - First of all: the service from the CP and the Wappenschmiede is very nice. The pitches are very small, but enjoyable, only one side has sun, the other is in permanent shade. The showers are probably new, perhaps a little impractical, almost everything got wet. I prefer not to mention the toilets here, but they are clean early in the morning. The bread roll service is great, unfortunately sometimes there are none because too few were ordered.

"Recover immediately! - Small campsite without airs and graces. We were traveling with our ERIBA for the first time and just wanted to spend the night in St. Martin. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything you need is there. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Restaurant on site. Beautiful surroundings in the Palatinate wine country. Signage to the campsite on the last few meters misleading. After entering from the main road on the left, please turn right directly into Talstrasse and DO NOT drive past. The road narrows considerably and turning can be challenging.

"Beautiful 3 days - We stayed at this small campsite for 3 days because we wanted to visit the wine village of St. Martin. The location is ideal, you can easily walk into the village. You are greeted very friendly by groundskeeper Helge, move into your pitch and you are on vacation right from the start. We felt very comfortable, the sanitary facilities are also clean. The restaurant on site is highly recommended, vintner's steak and half a chicken and of course a delicious glass of wine, all very tasty and very good value. The service was also very friendly, our little Jack Russell dog Frieda always got a treat. We will definitely be back

"Gladly again and again - - follow the campsite signs, some navigation systems show a route through the village, which then becomes very narrow for the larger ones - We have stayed there several times. We love small, peaceful campsites without frills but with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere and are already looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work

Profile

Der Campingplatz Wappenschmiede besteht bereits seit 1952 und ist somit der älteste Campingplatz an der Deutschen Weinstrasse. Er liegt bei St. Martin ,am Rande des Pfälzer Waldes (Haardt Gebirge) zwischen Weinbergen und Wald. Der Luftkurort St. Martin, in der Pfalz …als eine der wärmsten Gegenden Deutschlands, ist speziell im Frühjahr und Herbst durch sein mildes Klima, die reizvolle Landschaft und dem Wein attraktiv. St. Martin hat unzählige Sonderpreise und Auszeichnungen bekommen und kann sich durch den Gewinn einer Silbermedaille als zweitschönstes Dorf Deutschlands bezeichnen. Von hier aus können sie das geschichtlich bedeutende Rheintal, den ausgedehnten Pfälzer Wald sowie das nahe Elsass bequem erreichen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Der Platz selbst, ist um das Anwesen Wappenschmiede gruppiert. Daneben fliesst der Kropsbach. Die Wappenschmiede existiert schon mehrere Jahrhunderte. Die Schmiede selbst wurde waehrend des Krieges zerstoert, es gibt nur noch den Schmiedeweiher.Die Gaststätte "Wappenschmiede" verwöhnt Sie mit regionalen Pfälzer Spezialitäten. In der Anlage ist der Platz ein Stufen-Campingplatz. Er wurde schon zu Zeiten schonend in die Landschaft integriert, als es den Begriff Umweltschutz noch nicht gab. Unsere Freunde beschreiben den Platz als ruhig, gemütlich und urig. Auf ca. 0,8 ha Stellfläche bietet der Platz etwa 25 Wohnwagen- oder Wohnmobilstellplätze und etwa 25 Zeltplätze. 30 Dauerstellplätze stehen zur Verfügung. Die Plätze sind voneinander getrennt. Alle Plätze haben Grasboden, die Wege sind befestigt. Durch die Lage am Waldrand findet der Camper wahlweise Schatten- oder Sonnenplätze. Die gefliessten Sanitäranlagen verfügen über 12 Waschbecken, 4 Einzelduschkabinen, 2 Föne und einen Wickeltisch. Duschen und Aussenwaschbecken sind natürlich mit Heisswasser ausgestattet. Daneben gibt es 5 Toiletten und 2 Pissoirs. In der kälteren Jahreszeit sind die Räume beheizt. Ausserdem finden sie Geschirrspülbecken, Wäschewaschbecken und auf Wunsch steht Ihnen eine Waschmaschine zur Verfügung. Für die Entsorgung sind Ausgüsse vorhanden. Nachts ist der Platz beleuchtet. Alle Plätze (ausser Zeltplätzen) haben Stromanschlüsse. Ein "Hotspot" für Internet ist für Sie kostenlos. Satellitenempfang eingeschränkt, DVB-T2 überall möglich. Tiere sind erlaubt. Lebensmittel (Weck, Worscht un Woi, die drei Lebenselexiere der Pfälzer) gibt es in St. Martin. In jedem Weingut in St. Martin ist besonders günstiger Weinkauf möglich. Da wir Kinder mögen, gibt es einen Kinderspielplatz und einen Tischtennisraum ( bitte Schläger und Bälle mitbringen). Minigolf beim Parkcafe (200 m), Bademöglichkeiten im herrlichen Freibad Maikammer (3 km), dort gibt es auch Tennisplätze. Holiday Park, Hassloch (20 km), Dom zu Speyer mit historischem Museum der Pfalz-internationale Ausstellungen-(20 km), Maginot-Linie- Festungswerk- (Elsass 35 km). Viele Wandermöglichkeiten im Pfälzer Wald und in der Umgebung z. B. Kalmit (3 km), Hambacher Schloss (4 km), Schloss Ludwigshöhe (4 km), Sesselbahn zur Burgruine Rietburg (4 km).
