"Beautiful campsite in the forest and right on the beach - The campsite is beautifully situated in a wooded area. Directly opposite is an ice cream parlor, a bakery and a few restaurants as well as a small shop. A few steps further on you are right on the beach with beach chairs. The site is clean and tidy. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. At low tide, the beach is particularly suitable for children. If there is wind and water, you can watch the kite surfers. Right next to the campsite is the outdoor forest pool on one side and a large playground and climbing wall on the other.

"Completely exaggerated prices in Cuxhaven - I was even a permanent camper here years ago. Now I've come back for 2 nights as a transit camper... That was definitely my last stay here. It's expensive at 36 euros! And still offers nothing, so no catering or at least a kiosk on the site and all around the stores fold up the sidewalks at 6 a.m. because of wealth... The wifi they advertise is also absolute garbage... And when you're woken up at 7 a.m. by roaring workmen who have been ordered by the administration and let in with rattling ladders, you've really lost all understanding. This place should simply be flattened and the people who run it for the greedy city of Cuxhaven with their fees should be disposed of as quickly as possible. VG Fred

"SUPER LOCATED - PATHS AND ALSO THE MAIN PATH FULL OF LEAVES AND DANGEROUS FOR OLDER WALKERS WHO ARE ALSO PERMANENT GUESTS.SIDE PATHS MUCH TOO DARK IN THE FALL OR IN WINTER.SANITARY FACILITIES ARE OLD BUT CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED BY FRIENDLY STAFF.OLD CARAVANS WOULD HAVE TO BE CLEARED FROM THE SITE BECAUSE THEY DETRACT FROM THE OVERALL PICTURE.THE CITY IS THE OWNER OF THE CAMPSITE AND DOES NOT MANAGE TO LET A SWEEPER DRIVE OVER THE MAIN PATH ONCE A WEEK.TIME FOR THAT WOULD BE 10 MINUTES.BUT YOU ARE IN NATURE AND THEN THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.

"Rotten place - great location - Maybe it was because we were there in October. But I haven't seen such an unkempt place for a long time. The paths were all completely full of leaves and pine needles, the toilets were filthy and unkempt. The highlight: press a shower token 5 times for 20 seconds, then the showers were empty. The sanitary buildings were in a pitiful state inside and out, with chipped tiles everywhere and moldy walls. The poor cleaning lady who has to clean there. The poor guests who had to wash themselves. It all gave the impression that the groundskeeper really didn't want to do his job. All without love. It would have taken very little effort to make the guests feel comfortable again. However, the location is great. You only have to walk a few meters and you're right on the beach.... It doesn't get any better than this

"Quiet place in the forest by the sea - Quiet, ageing, inexpensive pitch in the forest right by the sea. The site, which is mainly occupied by permanent campers, is a good starting point for excursions to the sea and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the very old sanitary facilities are not cleaned regularly. Showers can only be used with tokens. The big advantage is that dogs are not allowed and therefore not every corner is contaminated with urine and excrement.

"Here since birth - I've been to various campsites and have to say that this one is the all-rounder. Everything you need is within walking distance or can be reached by any means of transport. There are several small sandpits on the campsite itself, as well as a playground under the zip wires of the adjacent climbing park - with a view of the sea. The sea itself is 150 meters from the campsite and offers a dog beach and a dog-free beach. Hikers and (mountain) bikers have the option of going further into the forest and (depending on their choice) exploring wide, stable paths or narrow, challenging and fun trails. There is a crater in the forest caused by the washout of military rockets, which BMXers, mountain bikers and motocrossers have turned into their own skate park. The sanitary facilities may not be up to date, but they are cleaned daily and kept clean.
