"Campsite is under reconstruction - We stayed at the campsite at the end of May - beginning of June. The arrival was a bit unusual because the campsite is relatively remote and there is no real "waiting area" for arriving campers in the entrance area. On the other hand, everything there has been completely rebuilt. New paving, new houses, everything very well maintained! Reception went smoothly in broken German but fluent English and we were allocated a pitch right by the pool. And that for the ACSI price. The pitch was shady under pine trees, very long but narrow. Nevertheless, our 7.5m caravan including awning and car easily fitted on the pitch. The pool is the most beautiful pool I have ever seen! The site is very well maintained and there were always lifeguards on site. Unfortunately, the pool is not heated and so the water was still quite cold at the end of May despite air temperatures of over 30 degrees. The campsite has a petting zoo, a very good children's playground, a well-stocked supermarket with wine on tap and fresh bread rolls from the bakery, a bar with very reasonable prices (latte macchiato EUR 1.20), an extremely good restaurant and a store for camping accessories. You really don't want for anything! The campsite has a total of over 400 pitches and 5 sanitary blocks. 4 of the wash houses are very old and in very poor condition. The wash house by the pool is brand new and in excellent condition. If the site is fully booked, I would be concerned about the situation with the wash houses (2 were also closed during our stay due to various defects). In the previous season, however, the site was only 10% full and everyone was able to use the new wash house without any problems. The campsite map showed a soccer pitch, a beach volleyball court and a dog shower. However, these did not yet exist. Presumably construction is planned. In general, the campsite is currently being renovated. The front third is already nicely renovated and looks great, the rear two-thirds are in a poor state. Mostly Italian permanent campers live here. A cycle path in the direction of Vada and Marina di Cecina is in the immediate vicinity. There are weekly markets here, which are really well stocked. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_FAZIT:\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ For us, Campo Dei Fiori is one of the most beautiful campsites, we have been to so far. Once all the wash houses have been modernized and the soccer pitch, dog showers and rear pitches have been properly built, the site will definitely deserve 5 stars. It will probably be another 3-5 years before it is finished.

"Not directly by the sea but therefore recommended - - Very nice, almost park-like campsite (incl. large sports field) with partly sunny and partly shady pitches. There are a few branches in the driveway, nothing serious, but they should be cut down. - Now in the low season (mid-September) there are also the large comfort pitches (10A + water) at the ACSI price; the campsite closes on 30.09. Vehicles can be brought onto the pitches. - Dogs: several no problem, there is more than enough space to run around even on the campsite - very quiet campsite, at night you can hear the railroad line very quietly if the wind is right, but really only very quietly - Reception: IT, EN, DE, very nice and courteous - Sanitary facilities: there are several open, somewhat simpler sanitary facilities. They are all equipped differently: Shower cubicles with hooks only, shower cubicle with partition, shelf and hooks as well as large combination cubicles with squat toilet, washbasin and shower in the spacious cubicle. And at the really beautiful pool, there is a brick-built sanitary facility that is of a much higher quality but has hardly any shelves or hooks. This bathroom also has children's toilets. All sanitary facilities are clean. - Restaurant with lovely terrace, bar next door (open before 08:00, cappuccino €1.20), all renovated in the last 5 years. The combined electricity and water columns at our pitch (10A) were e.g. from 2017 - WIFI: good reception at the pitch (transmission masts approx. 2-3 in every second path), but very expensive (1 week 20€ one user, 3 users 35€ for one week). At the restaurant there is free WIFI with slow, just sufficient performance if you check the 'world situation' at the café in the morning. - Anti Brum Forte is needed, lots of mosquitoes. - The way to the beach is through the beautiful pine forest with picnic areas on the other side of the road, 836m to walk from reception, bicycles are also possible. There are sun loungers and chairs for hire and a beach café. Further to the left is a public beach. Dogs on leads allowed. Fine sandy beach, shallow sea. The public part also has slightly coarse sand and the beach is somewhat narrower.
