"Conveniently located place for Meteora - Camping Vrachos is conveniently located on the outskirts of Kastraki; the monasteries are within easy reach. There are no shopping facilities on site, but in the neighboring village of Kalambaka there is a LIDL and other supermarkets with a good range. The prices in the site's own taverna are high - as far as the wine selection is concerned - we didn't try the food, we preferred to go to Stefanos Meteora Tavern, up the road on the left, where we ate very good grilled dishes. The site is very large and the trees provide a natural separation between the plots due to the distance between the plants. It's wide enough for our tent or a camper van with a canopy. The sanitary facilities were always clean, the pool was refreshing and there was always a lifeguard watching the activity in the water - I found it reassuring. There were plenty of places to sit and relax around the pool. The campsite is nice and quiet at night. You can also go on hikes to the monasteries directly from the campsite - but we didn't do this because of the heat. We found the campsite perfectly suitable as a stopover.

"Nice campsite. Perfect for visiting the monasteries. - Slept two nights. From the campsite we visited all the monasteries on foot. Challenging but doable for good walkers.

"Best place to visit the Meteora monasteries - certainly a very suitable place for visiting the Meteora monasteries. The swimming pool and the good restaurant deserve special mention. The prices are very reasonable overall. The campsite costs €20 for two people and one mobile home, and the restaurant prices are also very reasonable.

"Great place - The campsite is perfectly located for visiting the Meteora monasteries! Very good restaurant, sanitary facilities with individual washing cubicles, pool available! Somewhat hilly/steep and long paths, depending on the pitch. Operator family very nice and accommodating!

"Perfect for a short stay for Meteora sightseeing - Very organized: Check-in 1 min, check-out 1 min in between: Feeling good in shady places at the bottom, clean, by the pool with a wonderful view of the Meteora rocks and with a delicious barbecue in the restaurant in the evening. The family has the place under control. Absolutely exemplary.

"Ideal starting point for visiting the monasteries - Well, this place is routine with the guests who arrive for the monasteries and then soon leave again. The place was quite full, but we still found a nice, somewhat stuabu place. The pool looks a bit nicer in the pictures but overall it's fine. Shopping in the village is difficult but it's not far to the neighboring town. We didn't set off for the Köstern until around 11:30 which turned out to be completely sufficient and uncomplicated.
