Description

Profile

Carrowkeel Camping & Caravan Park is a well maintained campsite in the heart of Co. Mayo. The park is bordered by the Clydagh River, so don’t forget to bring your fishing rod. We cater for 28 caravans or motorhomes on …hardstands (with 16 Amp electric sockets each) and 30 tents (with 6 power sockets of 6 Amp). Our facilities include a reception (with shop and tourist information), a modern toiletblock with wheelchair accessible toilets, a clubhouse where you can enjoy a meal and a drink, a campers kitchen and a laundry room. For the children we have an outdoor play-area and an indoor gamesroom. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery; Connemara, Achill Island, Croagh Patrick and stunning cliffs along the North Coast of Mayo are virtually on our doorstep. Our Facilities: Reception: The reception doubles as a small shop and tourist information centre. It’s therefore not only the area where you book in, but also the place where you can buy your basic foodstuff such as bread, tea, milk, sugar etc. We also stock Calor Gas cylinders and disposable Camping Gaz cartridges. On top of that we have a fair selection of brochures and magazines with information about the area. Toiletblock: Our toiletblock is always spotless. Both the ladies and gents toilet area have 5 toilets (one wheelchair accessible), 3 nice hot showers (without extra charge), a hand-dryer. Plus 3 urinals (for the gents only). Clubhouse: Our Clubhouse is the main feature at nighttime, where we serve meals (between 7 and 9 pm.) and drinks. It is the place where you can relax by the open fire and enjoy the regular music sessions. Don’t forget to bring your instruments and join in. Gamesroom: In our gamesroom we have a pool table, dartboard, various games machines and a table-tennis table. In short, everything to keep the children (and adults) happy in case the weather is not up to scratch. Campers kitchen: The place for indoor cooking when the weather is not quite right for your outdoor barbeque (occasionnally this does happen). The kitchen is equipped with a worktop and sink, a 2 ring stove and a table and chairs.
