"Once, again and again! - We were actually only here for one night and then went to Euronat. We came back after a few days. This place simply appealed to us more. The atmosphere is much better here, the beach is nicer from our point of view, ...

"a bit narrow - The Monte is beautiful, that much in advance, but it can't keep up with its neighbor. Everything is very cramped and you only have small pitches for your tent. The swimming pools are really good though, especially the slide park. I would still describe it as child-friendly and safe.

"Top for price-performance ratio - We had a great vacation here. Relaxed with nice neighbors. Children should only be in the sea under supervision as there are strong currents here. Otherwise only swim in the supervised area.

"Space with lots of room for improvement - During our stay in August 2017 we found the following: 1.: the pitch was in an unacceptable condition (only the WW could be set up to some extent, neither awning nor awning could be set up, as there was a huge sand hole approx. 1.5 m in front of the WW entrance) 2.The two nearest shower blocks were in an unhygienic condition (unavoidable with the cleaning method, without cleaning agents but simply spraying out with a water hose) There were wide green/yellow stripes (some with mold) in the floor area on the walls. 3rd: The toilet bowls were all without glasses and lids, were also only sprayed out with the hose and then all toilet bowls were wiped with one and the same cloth. Cleaning agent or Sagrotan: Not available. 4th: It is impossible to go to the beach with a dog as the path is not passable. 5th: The pitch was not only in an impossible condition, but was located on a main road with a lot of car traffic and on both evenings (nights) populated with drunken youths with Gettoblaster, mind you after midnight without anyone from security intervening. After two nights we left this place in a hurry and are still waiting for a refund of the unused nights. This place is not to be recommended 3rd: D

CHM Montalivet 46 Avenue de l'Europe 33930 Vendays-Montalivet GPS : N45°21'47.52 O 1°8'45.818 Arriving from north by car : • Take the A10 autoroute as far as Saintes, then follow the N105 towards Royan and take the ferry across the …Gironde river to Verdon. • In Verdon follow the D1215 (coastal road) towards Lesparre, continue on the D1215 until the turn-off for the D102. Turn off on your right and follow signs for Vendays- Montalivet. • Continue on the D102 towards Montalivet. • At the traffic lights by the petrol station in Montalivet, turn left onto Avenue de l'Europe and continue up the road to No. 46. • The CHM Montalivet will be on your right. Arriving from Bordeaux by car: • Take the Bordeaux ring road. • Turn off at Exit 8 signposted Le Verdon/Lacanau/Le Taillan Médoc. • Follow the D1215 towards Lesparre. Continue on the D1215 which takes you past Castlenay, Saint-Laurent then Lesparre. • Go through Lesparre staying on the D1215 towards Soulac/Le Verdon. • At the D102 turn-off, turn left and follow signs for Vendays-Montalivet. • Continue on the D102 towards Montalivet. • At the traffic lights by the petrol station in Montalivet, turn left on to Avenue de l'Europe and continue up the road to No. 46. • The CHM Montalivet will be on your right. By train : • Alight at Bordeaux Saint Jean station. • Take the tram (Line C) which runs from Gare Saint Jean (Bordeaux) to the Esplanade des Quinconces stop. • Take the CITRAM bus No. 703 (Bordeaux/Lesparre) and get off at the Lesparre Médoc gare SNCF stop. • In Lesparre take the CITRAM bus No. 712 and get off at the Vendays Montalivet- Centre Hélio Marin stop. By air : • From Bordeaux Mérignac airport, hire a car then take the Bordeaux ring road and follow instructions for arriving from Bordeaux by car.
