"An experience I would not wish on anyone - An experience that I do not wish to anyone. And keep your fingers crossed that you don't need anything, because there is little desire to help (on the part of the campsite, especially 'Alise') ... rather none at all. A disaster, bad from the beginning to the end. One nonsense after another. We arrived on a Monday (30/July/2018) at 11:45h (after 6h of travel), and they told us at reception that until 12h they could not tell us anything about the plot, that they were emptying it (!), that we should park the car (all loaded with the trailer included) in the common parking and come back 'later' (period!). As we were hungry (and with two small children), we decided to go to the restaurant ... Wow! On Mondays they don't serve food 'all day long' (maybe they don't eat here on Mondays...). We decided to leave the campsite to take a quick bite to the beach by the path that 'in 5 min. you are, and it goes by the shadow' (it will be minutes from here, it took us about 15-20'). Oh, and the shade, it is only at the beginning (the first 100 m), the rest, in the sun. When we returned to the campsite after lunch, around 13:30h, they tell us: 'we already have your pitch, the 41'. We arrived with the tent (we have been campers for more than 20 years), looking for the orientation to have some shade. Did you say 'some shade'? HERE THERE IS NO SHADE EVEN AT NIGHT! If you want shade, it will have to rain! Not a single tree, not even a pole to hang a tarp, not even some ropes to hang clothes. The plot is a real mess in this respect. We are going to leave the campsite with sunstroke. On the second day we decided that we could not stay in the campsite, and we have been going back and forth to other places (well, at least we have been sightseeing). If I had known the plan, I would have gone to a hotel, where I have more comfort. We were looking forward to camping ... deluded! The problem is that the vast majority of the campsite (80%) is the same. WARNING! Come here only if you like the sun to punish you ALL (absolutely ALL) day long. Or if you expect rain. In any other case, abstain. Luckily for us, the plot across the street, the 38th, was released two days after we were there. I say lucky because we saw that it was one of the few (touched by the gods) that did have shade for most of the day. In fact, I am writing this right now sitting in plot 38, in the shade, watching how my plot (it is 19h in the afternoon) is still under a blazing sun. Well, yesterday around 12 noon (after two days of being in the campsite) and after seeing that this pitch was free, I went to ask to be moved to the 38th pitch, for humanitarian reasons, I begged. At the reception I met Alise, who from minute 0 started with excuses not to change us. She went so far as to say that the plot had a reservation 'for one day' by people who had asked for this particular plot, and that they were coming at 4 pm. At 7pm I went back to reception to say that no one had shown up. He didn't give a damn. She started to repeat the same reasoning as at noon, but between the heat stroke and the bad mood, I was not in the mood to listen to excuses again and I left. She was surprised that I had left her with the word in her mouth.... As I was saying, no one showed up at plot 38 today, and I don't think they're coming in anymore. I don't know why Alise was so clear that she didn't want to change us, but I hope Alise (and Camping Atlantica in general) that karma will return the favor. Tomorrow we will finally leave (we have not been able to leave before because we were charged 100% of the reservation, a month ago). We had wanted to continue along the French coast for another week, but we decided to go back to Valencia. There the heat is humid and makes you sweat, but we have shade, lots of shade. And we are more helpful and attentive. Well, I will ask where you are from (if I sense that you are from here) if you ask me something, before helping you ... ;-) I hope our experience will be useful for future campers. Not only the problem of the attention of the people of the campsite (at least with which we interact, at best correct, not friendly), nor the 'quality' of the plots (they are green yes, no shade or options). In the campsite there are hardly any activities for children (well, there is a park and a mini-golf), the pool is 'lawless city' and everything is prohibitively expensive (it is worth leaving the campsite even to order a coffee). The bathrooms are clean 'just enough', and all-in-one you have toilets, sinks, showers and sinks, for men, women or children. That is to say (based on real events), you are doing the dishes while you delight your senses (hearing, smell and taste) as your neighbor 'evacuates' the food in the bathroom next to you. A real communal experience. For only 55€/day! Tomorrow when I leave, I hope to be asked how my stay was.
