You can really relax here! Enjoy the panoramic view of the water, take a wonderful walk on the beach or sail across the Reveemeer in a boat. EuroParcs De IJssel Eilanden is located directly on the banks of the Reveemeer, …one of the lakes that form the border between the two Dutch provinces of Flevoland and Overijjsel. From here, you can also reach the IJssel estuary in no time and the Hanseatic town of Kampen is only ten minutes away. From the IJssel to the Ketelmeer EuroParcs De IJssel Eilanden lives up to its name. The holiday park is located directly on the Reevemeer, the northern part of the Drontermeer and close to the IJssel Delta, where the IJssel flows into the Ketelmeer. From the park's harbour, you can sail straight out onto the wide water. The IJssel, Randmeren, Ketelmeer and IJsselmeer waterways intersect nearby. The perfect place to experience an adventure. The Ketelmeer is not only a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, but also for nature lovers. Numerous canals and willow-covered islands characterise the marsh delta, which attracts thousands of birds. Fishing is also excellent here. Hanseatic towns of Kampen and Zwolle In the area surrounding EuroParcs De IJssel Eilanden, you can travel back in time. A stroll through the narrow streets of the Hanseatic towns of Zwolle and Kampen will take you back to the Middle Ages. Kampen, for example, owes its nickname 'Amsterdam of the Middle Ages' to the time when it was a flourishing trading town. Visit the Old Council Chamber, the Cellebroederspoort and the New Tower or stroll along the cosy shops and terraces. In Zwolle, the city walls, the Melkmarkt and the Sassenpoort are reminders of the city's historic past. Here, too, you can stroll through the old streets or visit the Museum de Fundatie. Bookworms should take a look at Waanders in de Broeren, a bookshop located in a 15th century church. You can also eat very well here.
