"Nice plat with a few peculiarities... - A very well-kept campsite with approx. 100 pitches arranged in 3 terraces, beautiful view from every pitch. Each pitch has electricity, water and waste water connections. The pitches are generously sized and very sunny, there is hardly any shade. The manager himself instructs every newcomer and has a precise idea of how the car should be parked and positioned. This was ok for us, but can certainly annoy one or two guests. In general, the couple who run the place are correct, but without shining with cordiality. The sanitary building is very well maintained. The showers are spacious with an anteroom, shelf and hooks, unfortunately a fixed shower head. The timer in the showers is far too short at 3 - 7 seconds and is annoying. Also, the two small windows in the shower room are not supposed to be opened (??), but fortunately hardly anyone sticks to this. It would be really stuffy without fresh air! There is a bread roll service, a mini store and a small café/snack bar. In summer, fresh tarte flambée twice a week in the evening. The price for a pitch in June was around €30 (excluding electricity consumption, €0.80 KWh) for a camper with 2 people. For the additional visitor's tax, you get free travel on all buses and trains and free entry to the beautiful outdoor pool 100m away - great! The WLAN on the site is very well developed & fast - exemplary! Various hikes & bike tours can be started directly from the site if you have safely laved your bike through the extremely narrow entrance next to the barrier without injury - half a meter more space would be really useful! One annoyance is that the chem. WC can only be emptied in a "vending machine" for 2-3€! No "usual" disposal of the WC's! As an additional service, I think such a machine is good, but not obligatory! All in all: a few unnecessary little annoyances on an otherwise very nice and tidy site...

"Beautiful view in a quiet location - We already knew from the reviews here in the forum that the caravan was very well maintained, but this was not a problem for us, on the contrary: the lawns are well looked after. The site is well maintained and clean, but could be a little better lit at night. Some of the pitches below the paths are shaded by small trees. The sanitary facilities are in good order and well maintained. If the shelf in the shower is too small for you, you can use one of the four family bathrooms, where you have significantly more storage options and the toilet is also right there. The site is rather unsuitable for families with children, as there are no facilities for children apart from three pieces of play equipment (not very attractive). The nearby good swimming pool (admission included in the pitch price!) can provide a change of pace here (please be sure to find out what the situation will be in 2023, as the closure of the pool is being considered very intensively!!!). Very suitable for mountain bikers (except for the entrance and exit at the campsite, which takes some getting used to), as well as for hikers. We didn't use the nearby thermal baths, so we can't say anything about them. The place is extremely quiet (perhaps due to the currently closed road behind Schweighof due to construction), so that we were asked twice before 11 pm by neighbors to be quieter. We sat together with 6-8 people and had a normal conversation (or so we thought). So if you're looking for something quiet, this is the place for you (if you don't have us as neighbors...) Conclusion: yes, one or two things take some getting used to, but all in all a great, well-kept place that we visited for the first, but definitely not the last time.
