Stay: Jul 2014
"3-week stay in a tent - As soon as we arrived, the reception desk was closed at one o'clock. We waited in the rain for a good hour. Relatively pleasant welcome. Our pitch: full sun, no trees for shade and a pitch full of thistles, barely enough room to pitch a tent. What's more, the small plot was not sufficiently insulated (bushes surrounding the pitch were poorly maintained and sometimes non-existent in some places). The campsite's sanitary facilities, one of which had been refurbished (which was very good), while the others were smelly and unclean. Showers: cold water on several occasions, and the water cut off for ¾ of an hour during use. The campsite swimming pool is small and poorly maintained (we found an excrement right at the edge of the pool). Entertainment: non-existent during the first week of our stay because of the start of the season (July 30-8). It would have been honest of the campsite to indicate on their website that the campsite becomes "alive" from such and such a date. From July 9 onwards, the evening entertainment was rather nice, but the entertainers were rarely if ever present during the day. All additional services at the campsite (drinks at the bar, entertainment) were very expensive. What's more, the campsite's wifi, which is normally available throughout the site, was very poor. On the plus side, there's a lovely beach 100 m from the campsite, and a village nearby. And great entertainment in the evenings when there was some! To conclude, the total price of the stay was exaggeratedly high in relation to the services offered for a tent pitch.

Profile

A three-stars campsite. A paradise for fishing fans and nature lovers. Set up home for the summer with your family and friends in the untamed Aveyron. Campéole La Boissière is sprawled over a vast woodland area, 500 m from St …Geniez d’Olt. Feast your eyes on a spectacularly unspoilt and verdant region and the meandering course of the river Lot. A stroll through the local markets will acquaint you with the huge diversity of regional produce. Remember to ask for the farcou, fouace or gateau à la broche ! What makes this site appealing A very friendly family campsite very much in one with nature. 5 hectares of forest and shade. The river Lot that flows through one end of the site.
