"Absolutely incredible, in the middle of nature - A wonderful spot in the middle of a large lake landscape. The campsite has 150 pitches and is kept quite simple to match the natural surroundings. If you want to be right next to the water, you should book in advance. There are relatively few showers and the water is not always quite warm. But the view and the nature make up for it. The team is extremely friendly and always eager to fulfill the guest's wishes

"Too expensive overall - Campsite directly on the lake. Pitches very different from the ground. Sanitary and cooking facilities do not reflect the price level. The café and bread roll service as well as the hire of boats, kayaks and bicycles are positive. Overall beautiful nature. Too remote and too expensive for us personally.

"Idyllic campsite in the middle of the forest - So far our most beautifully situated campsite in Sweden, although it does require a few compromises in terms of sanitary facilities. We arrived without a reservation and had no difficulty getting a very nice pitch near the lake. The supply lines to the nearest electricity connection are sometimes quite long. An additional extension cable may be required here. Each pitch has a possibility to light a campfire in the evening, idyllic. The campsite is located on an island, which we circumnavigated in the canoe we had brought with us. It's a shame that the operator attaches so little importance to the facilities, condition and maintenance of the sanitary facilities. Nevertheless, we will be back.

"Great location, but would not come back - The site is beautifully situated, very secluded and quiet. Our first impression was great. Unfortunately, we waited about 30-40 minutes every morning at the reception to rent a canoe or organize other activities. Washing was a challenge as there was only one working machine for the whole place and rinsing with cold water took some getting used to. Too bad, but we wouldn't come back despite the beautiful surroundings.

"Beautiful, close to nature, typically Swedish. To the HS with minus points. - Beautiful, spacious, natural campsite away from the main roads and towns. Nice and quiet in the middle of meadows and woods right by Åsnen. The terrain is very natural and hilly. Each pitch has a wooden seating area and fire pit. Wood is available cheaply at reception. There are three service buildings. There are 4 toilets and 4 showers, each individually accessible from the outside, for all guests on the site. At full capacity there were always waiting times. The same applies to reception, where you can sometimes wait over half an hour for your reserved canoe. There is a small store with ice cream, cakes, pastries, souvenirs and a bread roll service. Bicycle and canoe, motorboat rental. Canoeing from the campsite is great and can go on for hours. Beautiful walking and hiking trails from the campsite. Many German families. You can explore Åsnen and the surrounding area from the campsite. We had pitch 114 behind a small stone wall with a view of the lake. A few steps to the lake via a footbridge and direct access to the deep water. There is also a bathing platform. However, there is also a shallow sandy beach and another long jetty with two bathing platforms in the water. The lake was very clean and warm.

"Space with very narrow access and wide paths - To reach the site, you have to drive a few kilometers on a single-lane access road where two vehicles cannot pass each other. There are a few passing places, but pushing a caravan a long way back is not everyone's cup of tea. The reception was not exactly friendly. You rather had the feeling of being "processed". The access road from the reception to the pitch itself was also more than tight and there were no alternative routes. There were old truck rims on every pitch that could be used as a barbecue or fire pit. Unfortunately, we were smoked in from all sides as there was only wet wood in the forest. The shower facilities and toilets are very limited and you have to walk relatively long distances through the forest, depending on the pitch. There were no washbasins for the morning toilet. You had to brush your teeth at the hand basin in the toilet - an absolute nogo for us. There were no sockets in the anteroom of the shower to blow-dry hair. We had to walk back to the caravan with our wet hair, which is not pleasant in rainy weather or colder temperatures. We didn't use the bread roll service as it was a long way to reception and we didn't have a bike with us. We will certainly not visit the site again.
