"Good location, but unfriendly and dirty - The location of the campsite just outside Reykjavik is of course great, and Hafnarfjördur also has a lot to offer. We highly recommend eating at the restaurant in Viking Village. That was great! But unfortunately the campsite is not as good as often advertised. The staff / owners were quite unfriendly and the toilet disposal (toilet cassettes for motorhomes) was hopelessly blocked and the result was clearly visible. You could see it (in the cottage with the door open) from the outside and it was a disgusting sight. The owner actually said that she didn't know about it......, but it's very unbelievable because it's prominently visible.

City buses stop nearby, as well as the bus to …Keflavik international airport. For those of you travelling by car, the airport is only a 30 minute drive away. We are situated in a beautiful park near the town centre of Hafnarfjörður, a quiet and cozy area. However, downtown Reykjavík is only a 10 minute drive away, so you still remain close to the action. Facilities include: WC, showers, hot and cold water, a washing machine and dryer, access to a kitchen and a dining area in Lava Hostel.
