"What a pity :-( - We rented a cabin over the long weekend (October 3rd). The cottage was clean and tidy, everything was there. Unfortunately, despite advance notice for horseback riding, the booking did not work. We were treated very unfriendly at the reception ... "the guide is on vacation" ... Horse riding was the main reason for our arrival in Hanstholm. If we had been told this when we made the reservation request, we would have looked for other accommodation in Denmark with Icelandic horses.

"A new look for us - It's been 12 years since we visited this campsite and we have to say... it has come a long way. At least as far as the first large bathhouse is concerned. The small one at the back, which we have always visited, is fine. You can take a shower and so on. So what more could you want. Back then we had chosen a pitch on the large meadow, this time almost with a view of the sea. Water and electricity right next to the pitch. Friendly owners who can even help you in German. Hats off to them. Super nice. They are also dog-friendly. And what can I say... this breathtaking view is simply amazing. If you are good on foot, you can walk from the campsite on the hillside to the water and use the beach. It takes about 10 minutes on foot, but it's possible. Besides, you are on vacation and not on the run. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the restaurant because, as is usual in Denmark, dogs are not allowed in there. The campsite is also an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding area by car. (Hanstholm Bunker Museum, Klitmöller, etc.) Just be careful if the wind comes from the wrong direction, then you realize that you are near various fish factories ;-)

"The surrounding nature is impressive. - It was actually supposed to be four nights. However, we changed our plans on the very first evening and opted for two. The two main reasons for this were the sanitary facilities and the very strange atmosphere on the site - I was really startled when I suddenly got a reply to a friendly HEJ (from a German!). Strange people there on the North Sea. There are a lot of permanent campers on the site. The restaurant is to be recommended - a Hanstholm burger is really something when you're feeling peckish. The weather is just the way it is, there is clothing for that. North Sea! The dune heath all around is wonderful and Thy Nature Park should definitely be on your list - even if, like us (unfortunately), you ONLY drive through once from north to south. The pitches are ok in the front part, but almost everything there is occupied by permanent campers. The "blue pitches" are also quite flat, but with a lot of bumps. The adjoining slope is also parceled out - that's where we camped. The permanent campers there show the only sensible way to counter the slope - a wheel is dug in. Unfortunately, I didn't have such high wedges - a 30 cm slope - with me. The pool is great! The big slide is even better, and really fast. .however, the advertised water temperature only refers to the pool and the baby pool, NOT to the pool at the big slide - shock! The bread roll from the unfriendly cashier cost 5kr. You don't need the store - Aldi etc. are in Hanstholm.

"Ideal location for exploring Hanstholm - Beautifully situated campsite with a unique view of the North Sea. The sanitary facilities are not state of the art, but sufficient for washing up in the morning. Shopping facilities on site and nearby supermarket, Aldi etc. The wifi works excellently.

"beautiful place,but........ - We were there for a few days at the beginning of July.CP is located high on the cliffs.The free pitches had not been mowed for a long time and are partly uneven.The sanitary facilities in the "old" wash house are not very clean and old.Just like the shower cubicles, which are small and dingy and smell of sewer.There is no ventilation.The "new" wash house is dirty.The store is reasonably equipped.The swimming pool makes a good impression but to take a shower you have to go to the wash house some distance away.the restaurant is ok and has some offers.the children's playground in the upper part of the site is getting on in years and is worn out.for anglers the area is a paradise.the overnight price is too high.internet is free.for horse lovers an ideal place.we will not return to the site.

Neuheiten 2009 Hanstholm Camping hat eine vierjährige Totalrenovierung abgeschlossen und erscheint nun als einer der schönsten Campingplätze Dänemarks. Alles ist in rustikalen Naturmaterialien ohne Kompromisse und unter Berücksichtigung der einzigartigen Lage direkt neben dem ersten und größten Nationalpark in Dänemark …gebaut. Das Leben im Freien zu Lande, zu Wasser und in der Luft. Wenn Ihnen das Leben im Freien und echte Camping-Atmosphäre gefallen, können Sie sich ruhig auf die Saison 2009 freuen. Anlässlich der Einweihung des ersten Nationalparks in Dänemark haben wir ein Programm entwickelt, das die Familie ins Blaue in den interessantesten Weisen einlädt. Den Nationalpark können Sie zu Lande, zu Wasser und in der Luft erleben, und wir freuen uns darauf, Ihnen unsere tüchtigen Lehrer in den Freuden des Lebens im Freien vorzustellen. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, Meereskajak zu fahren, mit Flasche zu tauchen, zu surfen, ins Höhe hinaufzuklettern, den Sonnenuntergang zu Pferd an der Nordsee entlang zu erleben und mit dem Campingchef einen Rundflug in unserem kleinen Zweisitzer-Flugzeug zu machen. Jeder Tag bietet neue Herausforderungen, und Sie brauchen sich keine Sorgen um die Sicherheit zu machen, auch wenn Sie sowas Ähnliches nie probiert haben. Wir und unsere zertifizierten Lehrer nehmen die Sicherheit in die Hand, und wir sorgen auch für die ganze Ausrüstung. Sie bringen einfach nur Ihre gute Laune und ein wenig Mut aufs Leben, dann geben wir Ihnen einen unvergesslichen Urlaub. Tipi-Stadt und Kletterpfähle. Im Wäldchen im westlichen Gebiet des Platzes heißen wir Sie willkommen in dem großen Riesen-Tipi, das 40 Plätze um den mitten im Tipi gelegenen gemütlichen Feuerplatz hat. Unsere Naturführer werden hier täglich verschiedene Aktivitäten veranstalten. Wir braten Eierpfannkuchen über dem Feuer, kochen Cowboy-Kaffee für die Erwachsenen, und zwischendurch veranstalten wir Schatzsuchen mitten in der Nacht. Es ist auch möglich, in der Tipi-Stadt zu wohnen, in der es fünf Klein-Tipis für je vier Personen gibt. Der Morgenkaffee wird im Gemeinschaftstipi eingenommen. In der Tipi-Stadt finden Sie auch die beiden 15 m hohen Kletterpfähle. Wir haben unseren eigenen zertifizierten Kletterlehrer und eine ”Sichernde” angestellt, die jeden Tag alle Kinder und andere, die zum Klettern ins Höhe neigen, ins Höhe einladen. Zwischendurch werden verschiedene Kletterwettbewerbe veranstaltet, bei denen die Teilnehmer nach Alter eingruppiert werden. Sie werden ganz sicher mit heiler Haut davonkommen, denn wir verfügen selbstverständlich über zertifizierte Klettergurte und Seile. Das Badeland öffnet die Saison mit einem vierten Becken. Das Wasser ist immer beliebt, insbesondere wenn die Badetemperatur optimal ist, was bei uns der Fall ist. Die neue 340 m2 große Sonnenkollektoranlage sorgt für eine Erwärmung des Badelandes von Mai bis September. In den Sommerferien der Schulen liegt die Temperatur selten unter 29 o C, genug warm für selbst die Kleinsten, die nun ihr ganz eigenes Becken bekommen haben. Das Babybecken liegt bei der Rasenfläche im ruhigen Gebiet des Badelandes und ist mit rutschfesten Fliesen ausgestattet. See www.hanstholm-camping.dk

Das Badeland wurde mit einem neuen Becken, Unterwasserbeleuchtung, Grünflächen, Sonnenterrasse, Poolbar und einer Riesenrutsche von 35 Metern ausgebaut. Die Rutsche, eine sog. surfinghill, ist die größte ihrer Art auf einem dänischen Campingplatz. Die Sonnenkollektoranlagen wurden verdreifacht, damit wir Ihnen eine Mindesttemperatur von 28C von Mitte Juni bis Mitte August garantieren können. Wir freuen uns mit Ihnen das neue Badeland Pfingsten einweihen zu können. Café Terrassen ist auch einer der neuen Angebote dieses Jahres. Auf der Karte finden Sie sowohl Spezialitäten aus der Region wie z.B. die Hanstholm Platte mit Krebsscheren, Lachs und andere Leckereien aus dem Meer, des weiteren haben wir lauwarme Fischfrikadellen, frische Salate und gute Steaks im Angebot. Wir servieren Ihnen auch verschiedene Kaffeespezialitäten und haben selbstverständlich auch an die Kinder gedacht. In den Sommerferien der Schulen gibt es mindestens einmal die Woche Live Musik auf der Terrasse und das Café hält Sonntags Brunch für Sie bereit. Das Café wird Pfingsten eröffnet Der Hundespielplatz ist ab diesem Jahr für alle Vierbeiner ein Muß. Hier muß der Hund nicht an der kurzen Leine laufen. Der 900 m2 große eingezäunte Platz lädt zu vielen Stunden voller Herausforderungen ein, ob Balance, Geschmeidigkeit, Gehorsamkeit oder Mut – das ist Spaß für Hund und Herrchen. Alle Hindernisse sind aus Naturmaterialien und in verschiedenen Größen gebaut, damit alle Hunde mitmachen können. Von KW 27 – 33 besucht uns einer von Jütlands besten Hundetrainer einmal die Woche. Der Hundespielplatz ist ab Mai geöffnet. Komm und mach mit! Das Erlebnisprogramm ist für die ganze Familie. Wir haben die besten Aktivitäten im Gebiet für Sie zusammengestellt und haben u.a. mit dem Kunst- und dem Bunkermuseum Sonderaktivitäten erarbeitet. Des weiteren hält unser eigener Naturführer interessante Ausflüge bereit, z.B. in den Nationalpark und auf die Fischauktion. Wenn Sie als Gast auf unserem Platz übernachten, sind alle Ausflüge und Eintritte frei. Die Spielplätze wurden selbstverständlich auch dieses Jahr überholt. Auf dem grossen Spielplatz gibt es für alle Kinder einen neuen Favoriten: Die Schwebebahn! Die über 50 Meter lange Schwebebahn kann von mehreren Kindern gleichzeitig benutzt werden, also muss man nicht immer lange warten, um ran zu kommen. Die Schwebebahn wird Ostern eröffnet.
