"STAY 2023 Wacken - We are very grateful that we were allowed to stay at the campsite for 1 week, as we couldn't get to the Wackenfestival campsite. Very, very nice people who celebrated with us. Everything was very clean. Thank you for everything. Your nice Luxembourgers ;)

"Small and good - A small but nice campsite right next to a sports airfield. A bit busy during the day but not very noisy. Very quiet at night as the campsite is remote. Operator and staff very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Sanitary facilities old BUT always clean.

"Simply good!!!! - The owners are very nice and accommodating. They look for solutions to problems. The accommodation is very clean, tidy and reasonably priced. The new rooms are equipped with a small shower room. The sanitary area for the campsite is also very clean. The pitches are freely selectable.

"Unconventional camping, not to everyone's taste. - Very unusual campsite next to a small airfield, away from a village. The campsite has no barrier and no reception. The operators are only on site temporarily, without fixed times. You look for a pitch yourself and pay later. A beautiful building houses numerous guest rooms for rent, a fully equipped guest kitchen for campers with 3 dishwashing facilities and the sanitary facilities. There is an open shower area in the toilet room for both men and women. These were actually used, as there is only one lockable shower, which can apparently be used by both men and women. However, it is very clean and the whole site makes a well-kept impression, with only a few old caravans spoiling the picture. The campsite is used by a few permanent campers, but without the usual sheds and fences. We were on the site over Whitsun, there were hardly any tourist campers on site, it was wonderfully empty and very quiet apart from the airfield (which didn't bother us). There is no store and no bread rolls on site. Shopping facilities 4 km away. The price/performance ratio is okay, but more normal shower cubicles would be desirable. Otherwise, we felt comfortable and would visit the campsite again.

"Insider tip: Beautifully maintained CP with mega-nice operators - The site is located together with a golf course and an airfield on the only hill far and wide. Although it is right next to the airfield, we never felt disturbed by the sports planes. The hosts are totally uncomplicated, friendly and attentive and convey a family atmosphere that we have never experienced before. The campsite looks more like a huge park with a Tuscan villa. A fully equipped kitchen (ceramic hob, microwave, oven/grill, several fridges and freezers, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, etc.) is available to all guests. The laundry rooms are up to date, very well maintained and always clean (the "boss" personally takes care of this). All guests have access to a complete, lockable shower room. In the "hall", which is furnished with several seating and dining table groups, a wood-burning stove and a decoration just like at home, guests can spend the evening together or enjoy the unobstructed view over the garden into the distance in one of the beach chairs or on the terrace. Beer and wine can be found in the fridge in the kitchen at (real) cost price (a bottle of beer cost €0.50 during our stay!). There is also a vacation apartment in the villa and very nice double rooms in a separate outbuilding (also in Tuscan style), which are particularly interesting for cyclists and motorcyclists. The campsite consists of huge, completely flat lawns on which you can set up your caravan or motorhome (there are no "plots"). No problem even for 20-ton vehicles. Electricity and water taps are always nearby. Excursions in the surrounding area: North-East Sea Canal (great cycle tour), Büsum and St. Peter Ording (on the coast), Heide (district town with huge market square), Helgoland. Tip: Take the train and bike to Sylt from St. Michaelisdonn station (there's a travel agency at the station that organizes the tour free of charge if you buy tickets). We found this place by chance because we need a dialysis station nearby (and there is one four kilometers away in Eddelak). It wasn't the last time we were there - with or without dialysis.
