"very nice camp - very nice camp. we came with tent and our 3 kids (11, 4 & 4 years). we spent many hours at the playground. fun for all ages. and used the swimmingpool. reccomended for familys

Welcome to Holmens Camping Holmens Camping is a privately owned family campsite that opened in 1972. The site is extremely beautifully located, rigt in the lake highlands, on the Holmen peninsula, with the Gudensø lake on the one side and …Rye Møllesø lake on the other. We have regularly expanded the campsite to keep it abreast of present-day genuine campers, with a friendly atmodphere, well-being, service and quality our top priorities. The campsite now has 320 plots, modern facilities, e.g. a large covered swimming paradise with three heated pools with 10 different activities. There is also an attractive sun courtyard with sun couches and a pool bar that also serves exotic drinks. Adjoining it is a fantastic wellness centre that includes an original finnish sauna with an original enclosed Kneipp sauna cooling area. There are automatic, elec. prof. massage chair, solarium and a fitness centre with 13 different prof. machines and fitness equipment. At the site there is a wellstocked self-service shop, barbecue and large toom tor gatherings. Toilet facilities are up-to-date and include family bathrooms just like at home A dining room adjoins the camping kitchen. Activities comprise two play areas with features that include bouncy cushions, real tractors and excavators, a ropeway, huge fabulous animal, a ball-room with 25.000 balls, a pirate ship, a mooncar track football pitch and a very special compact golf couse. At least once a week there is pony riding as well as family events. See the activities calendar at www.holmens-camping.dk At Holmen there is a very attractive four-star, approved Put&Take angling lake that also features huge trout you yourself can catch - so remember to bring your rod along. We put out a great many fine fish from 1 kg to 8 kg. From the campsite you can also sail out to really fine fishing spots and catch lots of good wild fish. The fishing to be had around Ry is well-known for its excellent zander population. And a fantastic nature experience awaits you on the lakes. We hire out fishing boats, fishing equipment and sell fishing tackle and bait. We can also make out angling licences. When staying at Holmens Camping you must not go without a whole.day trip or a shorter one in a canoe up Denmark`s only king-size river - the Gudenå. Remember you binoculars, camera, food and drink. We hire out canoes and will be happy to inform you about routes to take. Right next to the campsite lies our own child-fiendly sandy bathing beach, where the quality of the water is always auperb. It is also a great place for sunbathing. We are open from the weekend before Easter to the last weekend in September. We look forward to welcoming you and your family at Holmens Camping. Holmens Camping er en privatejet familiecampingplads, som åbnede i 1972. Pladsen ligger meget naturskønt, midt i søhøjlandet, på halvøen Holmen, med Gudensøen på den ene side og Rye Møllesø på den anden. Vi har løbende udbygget pladsen, så den er …tidssvarende til nutiden ægte campister, hvor hyggen, trivslen og kvaliteten er i centrum. Pladsen har i dag 320 enheder, moderne faciliteter, f.eks stort overdækket svømmeparadis med 3 opvarmede bassiner med 10 forskellige aktiviteter. Desuden er der en dejlig solgård med solbrikse, poolbar med bl.a. eksotiske drinks. I forbindelse med svømmeparadiset er der et skønt velværecenter med bl.a. original finsk sauna med original lukket kneipp-saunaafsvalingsgård. Der er massagerum(vi har tilknyttet alsidig professionel massør). Der er automatisk massagestil, solarie og motionscenter med 13 forskellige professionelle maskiner og motionsredskaber. På pladsen findes en velassorteret selvbetjeningsforretning, grill samt et stort samlingslokale. Toiletfaciliteterne er tidsvarende, med bl.a. hoppepuder, en rigtig traktor og gravemaskine, svævebane, kæmpe fabeldyr, boldrum med 25.000 bolde, sørøverskib, mooncarbane, fodbold og en helt speciel kompakt golfbane. Mindst en gang ugentlig er der ponyridning, og familiearrangementer holdes også. Se aktivitetskalenderen på www.holmens-camping.dk. På Holmen er der en meget hyggelig 4 stjernet og godkendt put & take lystfiskersø, med bl. a. kæmpe ørreder, som du selv kan fange, så derfor husk fiskestangen i bagagen. Vi udsætter rigtig mange flotte fisk fra 1 kg. til 8 kg. pr. stk. Fra pladsen kan du desuden sejle ud til virkelige gode fiskepladser og fange mange gode vildfisk. Fiskevandene omkring Ry er jo meget kendte for det gode Sandart fiskevand. På søerne får du en fantastisk naturoplevelse. Vi udlejer fiskerbåde, fiskeudstyr og sælger fiskegrej, madding og udsteder fiskekort. Når man bor på Holmens Camping, må man ikke snyde sig selv for en heldagstur eller en mindre tur med kano op ad Danmarks eneste flod - Gudenåen. Husk kikkert, fotografiapparat, drikkelse og madpakke. Vi udlejer kanoer og giver gerne vejledning om sejlruterne. Direkte ved campingpladsen ligger vores egen børnevenlige sandbadestrand, hvor vandkvaliteten altid er i top. Her er der også lækkert at solbade. Vi holder åbent fra weekenden før påske til sidste weekend i september. Vi ser frem til at modtage dig og din familie her på Holmens Camping.
