"Ms - A first quality campsite, quiet, very clean, well located in the middle of nature between two wonderful access to the sea (sand or rock). A paradise in Costa Brava.

"Illa Mateua - Campsite separated by a road with clean sanitary facilities under large pine trees. There is a restaurant, a mini market with fresh baguettes every day and two pools. We recommend the lower part of the campsite, as more than half of the upper part is occupied by permanent campers and you need good storm anchors for the free pitches at the top. The beautiful Montgo bay is about 300m away. We recommend a visit to the Bay of Roses with Roses, Empuribrava and Sant Marti.

"one of the best in spain - -We stayed in the upper part of the campsite (near the cliffs, where our dog could get into the water) - Sanitary absolutely clean (as if the cleaner was standing behind you and cleaning immediately!!) - Diving school right next door. Shines through professionalism and absolute friendliness - reception always helpful. Gives tips for excursions. Detailed folders are available. Extremely organized. - We sometimes had a power cut. Everything was back in order within 10 minutes Thanks especially to Silvia at reception for the tip about Tossa de Mar!!!!

"May 2013 - We had a mobile home for 10 days. It was very well maintained. The gas stove only worked on a low flame, but this was repaired in no time. The people at reception were very competent and extremely friendly. The man in the mini-market deserves special mention! Very nice... The campsite is divided by the road that leads from L'Escala to Montgo Bay. Both parts of the site have mobile homes around the outside and parceled-out pitches in the middle. It seems that there are a lot of Spanish permanent campers there. But it's not really noticeable because there are no "ghettos", but the permanent campers are spread out (also only mobile homes plus awning and no huts or similar). The site has 2 pools, one at the upper part of the site and one at the lower part. They may not be big, but the upper one has a fantastic view! You can see the whole bay of Roses over the cliffs. Amazing! There is a large supermarket and other small stores 100 meters away. L'Escala is about 3 km away, where there are anchovy factories (try them!), butchers and even bigger supermarkets. In the low season in the middle/end of May there was nothing going on at all, but everything was actually open. If it wasn't so far away, I would go there again with the camper van.
