"Location very nice - The site is in a really idyllic location with a wonderful view. The sanitary facilities are fine, although a bit outdated. I drove there with a caravan, which gave my wife a headache wondering whether we would get away again. The access road is narrow and winding for over 1 km, where you can't see through houses whether oncoming traffic is coming. Only honking helps. The incline is also quite steep. But the staff were user-friendly.

"Very nice campsite with a breathtaking view - Camping la Timpa presents a beautiful facility surrounded by greenery, positioned on a cliff that provides a breathtaking view of the sea. The pitches are comfortable, bordered by fruit trees and flowering bushes, there are two bathroom areas, quite clean (unfortunately guests are not always masters of civility) and capacious, hot shower is included in the price. Inside the campsite you can find every comfort: market, restaurant, indoor children's lounge/play area, a laundry room, beach. If you are traveling in a tent, the bottom of the pitches would seem to be quite absorbent, although substantial rains we did not experience. The car cannot be kept in the area adjacent to the pitch, even in the off-season, however you can unload and park your car just a stone's throw away and still within the campground. The reception was probably not among the best, mainly because the directions from the guy at the front desk were hasty and confusing. Equally confusing was the management of the pitches and vehicles, despite the fact that it was already the off-season and there were very few guests at the campground. Overall, however, it is a recommendable campground, strategically located for visiting art cities, archaeological sites and natural parks (definitely worth seeing the one on Mount Etna).

"Ideal for exploring eastern Sicily - The reception by the manager was not particularly warm, but the rest of the staff are very friendly. The access road is very narrow, which can be very difficult, especially with a trailer. In general, the access road is very narrow and goes steeply downhill immediately after the reception, so that if there is oncoming traffic, it is not possible to avoid it. With caravans it is better to camp on the upper meadow (immediately after the reception on the left) as it goes down very steeply to the lower pitches and the pitches are very small, but have a great view. The sea can only be reached by elevator and is not suitable for children to swim in. The campsite is ideal for exploring eastern Sicily (Syracuse to Messina). The campsite is ideal

"Idyllic campsite even in winter - Beautifully situated campsite that is also open in winter. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are in need of renovation. Access for larger WOMOs could be problematic as the access roads are very narrow. The staff are very friendly.

"Magnificent scenery, great for excursions, year-round pitch - Very courteous, friendly and helpful management, multilingual. Year-round pitch right by the sea with great views, laid out in terraces. Quiet location. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Very good restaurant on site. Excellent for excursions to the town (15 min. on foot) and the surrounding area by car and train, e.g. approx. 30 min. to Catania.

Der Village-Camping befindet sich direkt am Meer, in einer naturbelassener Umgebung der "Riserva Naturale La Timpa". 40 Min. vom Krater des Ätna, 30 Min von Taormina und 50 Min. von Syracusa entfernt. Er liegt auf einer Felsklippe und man erreicht …das Meer mit einem Lift (einziger in Europa), der direkt in den Lavasteinen gegraben wurde. Der Campingplatz verfügt über einen Mini-Market, Restaurant - Pizzeria, Parkplatz, Bocciabahn, warme Duschen (gratis), WiFi usw. Es stehen viele neue Bungalows, Mini-Wohnungen und ein Zeltplatz zur Verfügung.
