"beautifully located place but much too expensive - We were there in October and had a riverside pitch right next to the waste disposal station - the view was very nice, but charging extra for this pitch is not justified. Overall, the site is simply far too expensive for what is on offer and in summer, when all the pitches are occupied, the space would simply be too tight for me.

"Nice, but too remote - Overall, the price per night (around EUR 45 even in low season) is disproportionate to the quality, cleanliness and location on offer. The food in the restaurant seems to be more expensive than average. For currywurst with fries 12.00 euros is not really justifiable. How this place was awarded 4 stars is a mystery to us.

"Dream location! - We had a great vacation home with a dog in a great location. The house was clean, well equipped and pleasantly large. The service on site was great! We would love to come back.

"Nice quiet place - Very nicely situated place. Good for cycling. Nice staff and also the sanitary facilities are clean and there was always hot water for showering (was criticized several times)

"Not in this place again - The location is beautiful, you can always see the Baltic Sea. But the sanitary facilities and the beach spoil a nice vacation feeling.

"Pity - The great pitch and the privileged location of the site were negated by the lousy service and the even more lousy cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. An investment in new sanitary facilities should be feasible after 20 years of use. Best regards

Profile

The KNAUS campsite and holiday chalet site is located right next to the Baltic sea resort of Breege/Juliusruh on a plateau approx. 10 metres above sea level directly on a 12km long sandy and pebble beach called "Die Schaabe", one …of the most beautiful and longest beaches on the island. The beach is accessible directly via steps. Discover the world-renowned chalk cliffs or the historic fishing village of Vitt on the cycle and walking path right next to the site or while walking along the beach. After an eventful day you can let the evening while away enjoying a nice meal on the terrace of our restaurant with a glass of wine. Our comfortable, state-of-the-art sanitary facilities have individual rental baths with whirlpools. There is also a sauna complex. The fees are primarily charged based on consumption and service using transponder technology. Your pets are also welcome on the allotted pitches!
