"Small, well-kept transit area - We visited this place for the fourth time. This landscape with this river, just great. Little has changed. Sanitary facilities outdated but clean. Pitches freely selectable. Huge pots have been washed into the river rocks. Great sculptures have been created.

"Place in the forest - The site consists of two separate parts, one for permanent campers and one for tourists. Clearing (meadow) in the forest by the river. The meadow is large and sometimes very uneven for tent campers. Sanitary facilities and especially kitchen very small. In our case, however, not important as the site was occupied by approx. 15 units. Registration at the hotel/restaurant at the entrance on the opposite side.

" - Two-part, well-kept site for tourists and permanent campers in a sparse forest, separated from the E6 by trees and a river. Sanit. Facilities good and clean, kitchen/dishwashing rather small. The site is also frequented by coach travelers who stay in Hyttern and cook for themselves, so the kitchen can be a little cramped. The site also has a hotel with a restaurant. Friendly staff.

Profile

Krokstrand Camping ist ein kleiner, einfacher Campingplatz wenige Kilometer vor dem Polarkreis, direkt am Silfossen gelegen neben der Europastraße 6. 14 Hütten und 28 Camperplätze sind frei wählbar. Man kann seinen Stellplatz unter den Freien nach Wunsch selbst wählen, muss …dann aber über die E6 um im zugehörigen Restaurant einzuchecken. Hütten und Camperplätze sind harmonisch auf dem Platz verteilt. Es gibt Hütten unterschiedlicher Größe. Zum Campingplatz gehört ein Restaurant, in dem man Brötchen, Frühstück, Imbiss bekommen oder auch richtig essen kann. Das Nötigste an Lebensmitteln findet sich dort ebenfalls. Am Platz befinden sich im Sanitärhaus auch Waschmaschinen und Trockner. Eine direkte Ver- und Entsorgung gibt es nicht, aber ein Spülbecken, in welches Grauwasser mit dem Eimer gekippt werden kann. Es gibt einen Kinderspielplatz inklusive Trampolin und eine kleine Minigolfanlage. Vom Platz aus gehen viele Wander- und Spazierwege ab. Man ist am Rand des Svartisen-Nationalparks.
