"we will be back - Nice quiet little place. Great playground, even for the little ones. Nice mini golf course. Dogs allowed on the restaurant terrace! One of the biggest advantages is that you have a view of the playground from the restaurant terrace, which means you can sit there and relax while the children can go and play. The pull raft is also quite nice. The site isn't huge but it's perfectly adequate for a few days or a week with children. The sanitary facilities were clean and everyone was friendly. We were even allowed to continue our mini-golf game the next day as it was interrupted by heavy rain showers. However, the pedal boats are a disaster. The dog park is also quite good. What I think is really great is that the size of the pitches is specified when you book, so we knew that our huge tent wouldn't fit everywhere and were able to choose a suitable pitch. :)

"Light and shadow - My assessment is ambivalent. We spent a week on this site during the fall vacations. The first pitch was in an area where you tend to find unkempt permanent pitches and mobile homes. The pitch had not been mowed, was full of water and there was no electricity. At first, the reception said that there was no other pitch available. A groundsman came and told us that this pitch was actually no longer available for rent. Suddenly another pitch was free. At first glance, it was much better. At second glance, it was so soggy and muddy that we couldn't maneuver the caravan backwards onto the pitch because it was uphill and the tires were spinning. We spent one night in a makeshift position and hitched up. The next morning we asked for another alternative site. This time there was an immediate choice and we got a good spot at the back. It was very quiet in this area and the pitches were straight and less soggy. In my opinion, however, none of the pitches deserved to be called comfort pitches. The sanitary building 3 is getting on in years. I never saw any cleaning staff. According to the notice, they were probably always there at six in the morning. The leisure facilities on the site (playgrounds, mini golf, swimming pool) are good. The surrounding area also offers a number of excursions. The restaurant on site offers delicious food, which can also be picked up. A small store on site sells groceries and baked goods. Camping equipment is very rudimentary. Gas bottles can be exchanged. W-LAN is extremely expensive at 12.50 euros. In my opinion, this is out of date and almost outrageous. There are graduated prices for several days. But for seven days it was still over 30 euros. But it worked perfectly. The staff were all very friendly. But we won't be going back to the site any time soon...

"Idyll hui - vacation home pfui - The site itself is in a very idyllic location. Good starting point for hikes and excursions in the surrounding area. Lots of playgrounds, but the mini golf course is in need of renovation. Sanitary facilities for campers still quite new. We had a vacation home that was unfortunately very worn. Stained carpeting on the 1st floor, mold on the windows, doors squeaked, stairs scratched, a piece of the floor was missing. The house was also unfortunately not very clean. Spider webs, partly dirty floor... Too bad! Vacuum cleaner was available but not usable because it smelled very strong (stank!). Reported defects were ignored instead of being remedied. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend vacation homes on this site!

"Stressful reception - The registration system is very complicated, we had the day rain and wanted to change the place again because it was quite muddy, this would only have been possible if we had been completely driven out again, had checked out and checked in again, the whole thing took about 2.5 hours, the keys to the locker passage are pitch bound, so the place is not again, whereby landal is otherwise very well remembered by Landal Esonstad.

"A place with many stories! - We were there during the fall break and the location is not bad! If the weather had been better we could have done a lot. As for the site itself, I have to say that it could do with a bit more maintenance, and most of the pitches are very muddy or there is bare water on them. Beautiful is different! The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired! It was superficially clean. However, there was a lot of mold in the shower area (on the shelves, the silicone joints, etc.). We will probably not return to this place.

"Short trip to the Volcanic Eifel - We were there over the weekend. Large pitches, but unfortunately very muddy. At least where we were. There were also other pitches. The sanitary facilities were clean despite the rainy weather. The staff at reception are very friendly and the store has a really large selection. WLAN costs an incredible €12.50 per day and then it doesn't even work. Unfortunately, this could not be resolved. You have to pay extra for many activities. At least as far as the entertainment program with children is concerned. Fortunately there were 2 playgrounds and a small indoor playground. The restaurant was delicious, but overpriced in my opinion. All in all, a nice campsite, but too commercial for us personally.

Der Campingplatz liegt an den Ufern des idyllischen Flüsschens Wirft inmitten der romantischen Vulkaneifel, weniger als eine Stunde von Köln entfernt. Mehr als 250 Erhebungen gilt es bei …Wanderungen oder Radtouren zu bezwingen. Wer es lieber etwas gemütlicher mag, geht zum Baden an eines der Maare oder wirft seine Angel im Stausee direkt am Park aus. Zur urigen Einkehr sei das ursprüngliche Eifeldorf Kronenburg empfohlen. Als wäre die Zeit stehen geblieben, schmiegen sich die Fachwerkhäuschen rund um die Burgruine hoch oben am Berg. In den Wintermonaten ist diese Region vor allem bei Langläufern sehr beliebt. Bei Kelberg auf die B410 Richtung Gerolstein. Nach ca. 11 km rechts Richtung Hillesheim, Jünkerath, Stadtkyll. In Stadtkyll den Schildern Landal Wirfttal folgen. * Route 3: Aus Richtung Saarbrücken kommend über die A1 bis Trier. Dort auf die B51 Richtung Bitburg. Der B51 (teilweise A60) weiter Richtung Aachen/Köln/Blankenheim folgen. Bei Ausfahrt Stadtkyll der Beschilderung Landal Wirfttal folgen. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel Landal Wirfttal ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln mit der Bahn nach Jünkerath erreichbar. Mit der Bahn von Köln aus beträgt die Reisezeit zum Bahnhof Jünkerath ca. 2,5 Stunden, von Berlin aus, je nach Verbindung, zwischen 6 ½ und 6 ¾ Stunden.
