"Beautifully situated campsite in nature - Camping Borkerheide is located just outside Westerbork. The pitches are spacious and most of them are under trees. The plumbing is not new anymore, but is kept very clean. The owners are very friendly, and even come by to see if everything is okay and if there are any questions about the area. From the campsite you can cycle in all directions. There are plenty of opportunities for children to play. Those who love peace and quiet will find what they are looking for. Highly recommended

" - Hele leuke en gezellig camping! Wij hebben hier veel lol beleefd met onze kinderen. Dorp nahbij, zwembad nahbij en elke dag recreatie wat wil een mens nog meer? Rust? Dat kan ook want ook dat hebben wij gevonden op camping ruinen! Het is een super camping met een hele lieve beheerder!

Op een unieke locatie aan de rand van het gezellige brinkdorpje Westerbork, temidden van bos en heide, ligt Landgoed Börkerheide, een “Landgoed met kampeerfaciliteiten in de natuur”. Een groot gedeelte van het Landgoed bestaat uit een natuurlijk ven. Aan de …rand van het ven kan uitsluitend gekampeerd worden met tent (natuurlijk kamperen). Op de open plekken in het bos aan de rand van de heide zijn prachtige campingplaatsen gesitueerd, zodat het daar ook prachtig verblijven is. In de bosrand zijn open plekken gemaakt, met als doel om het heideveld de kans te geven zich op een deel van de camping verder te ontwikkelen. De ingang van de camping ligt in het bos en vandaaruit gaat het karrespoor (een verhard pad) via het bos naar de ruime kampeerplaatsen. Het infopunt, bij de ingang en begin van het karrespoor, geeft u de gelegenheid om wat meer informatie over de camping en omgeving te verzamelen.
