"A super campsite !!! - We stayed here for 15 nights and on arrival, without pre-booking, we were able to view the campsite with suggested free pitches and then choose one. We had the ACSI card with us, but that wasn't a problem at all, there were nice, large pitches. Some of the staff at reception also speak very good German. The site is very well-kept, flowers bloom everywhere, some of the pitches are nicely shaded, all separated from each other by hedges. The location is fantastic, on the edge of the hustle and bustle and close to the beach, the path via the associated Camping Nouvelle Fluoride is only short. The beach is a dream! Clean, fine sand, no stones and lots of beautiful shells. Castles are still being built here! The sanitary facilities were clean and adequate in our time. What was really missing was soap!!! There is only one wash cubicle for women. The pool is great. You can even swim a few lengths and have a wonderful bubble bath and massage in the indoor pool in the Jacuzzi. There is plenty of entertainment on offer, it takes place at the Nouvelle Fluoride, but we didn't use it. We only looked at the Beach Garden campsite, which also belongs to it but is a little further down the road, but we didn't like it. Some of the pitches made an unkempt impression, some of the sanitary facilities were very old and the "great pitches" in the first row had a concrete or tar surface. You can also hear the music from the nudist club on the beach late into the night, which you can also hear on Charlemange when the wind is unfavorable, as well as from the small leisure park in the village or sometimes from the train, but that doesn't bother you any more. Our dogs also had a great vacation, from 8pm they could go to the beach with us, during the day we went for a walk in the dry lake directly behind the campsite or cycled to the Etang du Thau or Canal du Midi, which is very easy, about a 10 minute ride.

"Have a nice vacation, but.... - All in all, we spent three wonderful weeks in the pleasant Mediterranean climate. We were given a very friendly welcome and the initial "briefing" went very quickly, as the short driveway can only accommodate a maximum of one car and trailer. Later, when we actually checked in, we were given comprehensive information about everything important. Almost all of the reception staff speak German, some of them very well. Our pitch was large enough and mostly shaded by trees. The individual pitches are separated from each other by hedges. The whole campsite is really beautifully laid out and is always kept clean by the gardeners, you could always see them working somewhere. Unfortunately, this could not be said of the cleaners of the sanitary facilities, who in my opinion cleaned very superficially, so that, for example, the garbage (hair, dead insects and small pieces of paper) rinsed off with the hose always remained in the drains behind the toilets. Overall, the number of toilets could have been higher, there were eight, four of which were the typical French standing toilets, which I would not have expected on such a modern site. The location of the site is of course a positive aspect, as the beach can be reached directly via the "sister site" Nouvelle Floride, which can be used in full. This is really right on the beach, so you can use the sanitary facilities and the bar and showers directly from there. You can also make full use of the second "sister site" approx. 500m further on, which means you have three different pool facilities at your disposal, all of which are slightly different and therefore offer variety. Unfortunately, the animation is a negative point for us. It is well known that the French are quite stubborn when it comes to foreign languages, but I would not have expected this in this international resort. None of the entertainment staff spoke German, although there were quite a few Germans. The evening shows were almost entirely in French, with a little English now and then. Unfortunately, this also applied to the children's disco, which I found particularly unfortunate. There is quite a fuss made about a mascot, which means that they only "make out" with it in French for at least ten minutes and many children don't understand a word.... Very annoying are the "advertising cars" for discotheques, circuses or funfairs, which drive along the road between the two campsites with extremely loud music and announcements until about midnight, but the campsite can't help that. One last thing....: On the chalet departure days, you should keep a close eye on your children, as the cleaners are moving so fast in their electric cars that a child running across the road may not be seen until very late.
