- Martin T.July 2019AdvantagesLocation, parking space size, WCNegativesRodents, volumePros and consWe wanted to visit Öland again and spontaneously drove to the tourist Mecca of Sweden. We were warned, but you can get your own impression. The fact is, mass processing is the order of the day here. Of course, the campsites are huge and have to be managed. We had a free choice of pitches and the pitches... themselves are really spacious. A clear plus point. Furthermore, the sanitary facilities are well dimensioned and actually always cleaned. There is a large store on site where you can buy bread rolls and food (and other nonsense). There is also a restaurant, which we didn't use, but which probably offers food from breakfast to dinner. The town of Köpingsvik is about 3 km away and totally overcrowded. Which brings us to the disadvantages. The road to Köpingsvik is a daily (!) traffic jam. Better to walk - you can easily walk twice as fast. We cycled a lot and used the well-developed cycle paths. There's not much to see in Köpingsvik itself - for shoppers there's certainly the opportunity to buy overpriced bric-a-brac. For us it was simply: we've seen it. The surrounding villages (off the main road) are worth exploring by bike. It should also be mentioned that the campsite has a massive problem with mice, hamsters and hares. In any case, we recommend packing everything away - the background noise in the awning was unique - everything was searched. Otherwise: a "little beach" is part of the campsite and the party-loving Swede seeks his balance here. So be prepared for louder music. Recommended: well - for people who want a program, good beach facilities and a bit of shopping (i.e. camping light) this is certainly ok.Automatically translated.
- Marcin S.June 2015AdvantagesLocated on the waterfront, plenty of sanitary facilities, reasonably clean.NegativesCrowded, noisy, cold water in the showers!Camping - moloch...As in the title - a huge campground, hundreds of campers. Quite noisy, although in the evening it quiets down a bit. Place for tents - a meadow, not very straight. Cleanliness of sanitary facilities okay, but cold water in the showers! I understand that the campsite is large and it is difficult to heat... such water, but apparently technically it is not prepared for such a number of people. The beach at the campsite is rather average. There is a swimming pool, but with drained water. Good for one night, not more.Automatically translated.
