"Great well-kept quiet campsite - At the start of our round trip in Denmark we visited the campsite "Møllegaardens Strand Camping Thurø". A very nice, quiet campsite - no through traffic. The pitches are very spacious with a direct view of the sea. Also ideal for families with small children, as the Baltic Sea is very shallow here. A nice playground is available. The water is clear - perfect for fishing too. We found the wash house simply equipped and very clean. Svendborg can be reached by bike in 20 minutes. In general, Svendborg - with its beautiful harbor - is great for shopping and eating out. The cycle paths are very good. In summary: We felt very comfortable, we were warmly welcomed and will definitely be back. Great campsite.

Profile

Mittelgroßer, gepflegter Campingplatz auf Thuroe, der an eine alte Hofanlage angeschlossen ist. Man kommt zuerst in den "Innenhof" einer Hofanlage, der Campingplatz selbst liegt etwas versteckt unterhalb direkt am Wasser. Nahezu alle Plätze können auf die Ostsee schauen, die erste …Reihe steht direkt am Wasser mit Blick auf die Insel Fünen. Dauercamper und Kurzzeittouristen halten sich die Waage. Die direkten Wasserplätze sind zum großen Teil den Kurzzeitcampern vorbehalten. Beide Spielplätze sind sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe zum Detail angelegt. Das Sanitärgebäude wirkt gepflegt und auch nicht allzu alt. Wickelmöglichkeiten finden sich im Damenwaschraum. Von verschiedenen Stellen des Platzes läßt es sich sowohl auf die Insel Fünen als auch aufs offene Meer schauen. Durch die geschützte Lage der Insel selbst perfekter Ort zum z.B. Kajakfahren.
