"More Appearance Than Substance - We had booked a stay at Campingpark Hoogduin from July 26 to August 2. However, we left on July 30 because we didn’t like it there. The campground has an older and a newer restroom building; the newer one, in particular, is similar in design to those at several other Dutch campgrounds we’ve visited, and it was always clean during our stay. The staff were professionally friendly. The campground has a kind of French fry stand and a bread roll service—though the rolls were usually sold out by the afternoon—as well as a sort of self-service store. This store carries all kinds of ready-to-eat meals, pasta, and rice, as well as chips, candy, and, fortunately, beverages such as water, Coke, Fanta, wine, and beer. There are no fresh foods of any kind, such as fruit, vegetables, etc. The nearest grocery store is about 2 kilometers away. The campground is teeming with rabbits, and pigeons are also a common sight. We also saw several rat traps, though no rats themselves. We didn’t find the place to be particularly well-maintained. We had a site right next to the hedge along the road to Cadzand. That hedge should have been trimmed a long time ago, and the drainage ditch beneath it should have been cleared of stinging nettles. Unfortunately, not every dog owner cleans up after their dog like we do, even though there were several dog waste stations that were always well-stocked with plastic bags. To get to the beach, you just had to cross the dune—which was great—and we all enjoyed that; however, despite the nearby beach house, it just didn’t click for us here. We probably won’t be returning to this campground.

"Clean and solid campsite in incomparable proximity to the beach - Super nice site, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Paths, hedges, pitches, sanitary facilities and main building were super clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't kind to us, so we would have liked more indoor facilities due to the rain and storm. But we knew that beforehand. The coffee bar and the small park store are only open during reception opening hours. In my opinion, there would be significant potential for improvement here. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

"The customer is just a number here! - We had reserved 2 motorhome pitches in advance and booked an additional apartment on arrival for friends to celebrate a birthday together - within our family. We were promised an apartment for 3 nights (Bungalow N°3). On arrival, however, we were allocated a different apartment. Everything seemed fine, we paid in advance, until we found out on the last day that the site management had made a mistake in allocating the apartment and so we were sent off without any ifs or buts and had to leave on the day of the birthday. The site management had rented out the wrong apartment and yet no one made the slightest effort to solve the problem in our favor. We had to leave early without an alternative, although we had actually booked for two more nights. The customer is just one number among many here. We will never stay at this site again - this is not how you can or should deal with customers. The site management definitely doesn't care about dissatisfied customers. Apart from that, there is nowhere to fill up with water on site, although this is stated and paid for. Never again!

"We were very satisfied - The pitch is really ok for the price! The pitches are quite large, ours was certainly 120 m². Water, waste water, digital TV. However, I only found 3 German channels: ARD, ZDF, WDR. But no matter, we only used it for the news. The sanitary facilities are sufficient in number and always clean. Shower water runs for 4 minutes, which should actually be enough. Via PLUS Lohman in Breskens there is a shopping and delivery service (order via app, pick up at reception from 08.00, delivery costs are waived). This mitigates the lack of a shop on the premises. However, you shouldn't insist on getting exactly the bread rolls you ordered - we called it the "bread roll lottery". A stroke of luck: while we were there, there was a special offer of 4 rolls for 99 ct. Otherwise, you can be in Cadzand in a few minutes by bike. The huge beach is just 5 minutes away, as is the cycle path network. There is a great app for this, with which you can easily plan your tours (FIETSKNOOP). Knokke-Heist is not far away, Sluis is worth a visit, Aardenburg and Oostburg less so, Breskens - well. Cadzand-Bad is ok for pizza and ice cream and has a large bike store. But attractive is different! But that has nothing to do with the campsite, which is definitely recommendable.

"Top space for wheelchair users - The sanitary facilities for wheelchair users are absolutely great. Very clean and equipped with plenty of grab rails and shower seats. The emergency call in the wheelchair toilet is very well installed. Everything is really great here - however, the site is quite expensive, even in the low season. There are no discounts, not even a discount like the ACSI sticker might suggest.

Hoogduin aan zee is voor iedereen een heerlijk vakantieadres. Voor kinderen zijn de duinen en het strand één groot speelparadijs, voor volwassenen is het dé plek voor relaxen, zonnen, wandelen, (kite)surfen... grenzeloos genieten!

Einmal …in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen angekommen, folgen Sie den Schildern Oostburg/Breskens. Beim Kreisverkehr in Breskens, nehmen Sie die (3. Ausfahrt ) Richtung Nieuwvliet. Nach Groede fahren Sie beim 2. Kreisverkehr rechts ab auf die Sint Jansdijk (Richtung Nieuwvliet-Bad). Nach ca. 5 km entdecken Sie Hoogduin zu Ihrer linken Seite. Via Antwerpen Reisen Sie via Zuid-Nederland oder België, dann fahren Sie bitte via Antwerpen. Nach dem Kennedytunnel nehmen Sie die 2. Ausfahrt: Brugge/Rotterdam, so dass Sie auf den Expresweg N49 kommen. Diesem Weg nach Knokke, der entlang der niederländischen Grenze verläuft, folgen Sie bis Kaprijke (KM52). Hier fahren Sie rechts ab Richtung Breskens. Via IJzendijke und Schoondijke folgen Sie den Schildern nach Breskens. Beim Kreisverkehr nehmen Sie die 3. Ausfahrt Richtung Nieuwvliet.
